Among Us can sometimes be a bit overwhelming. The social deduction game revolves around up to 10 players working together on a map to find imposters while a few of them are the imposters who try to kill all the innocent individuals off. A large chunk of the round involves gathering information while also completing tasks.

Players can share information with each other in meetings, which are normally called when someone finds a body. However, some information can't wait too long. That's why emergency meetings exist in Among Us as it gets everyone gathered before anyone else dies and before the round ends. But how do emergency meetings work exactly?

3 How To Start An Emergency Meeting

Before a round starts, the person in charge of setting up each round has the ability to give players a certain amount of times that they can call an emergency meeting. The default tends to be one or two times, but this can be adjusted to however the lobby likes to play. When in-game, regular and emergency meetings are held in the same place.

Therefore, when looking for the button to start an emergency meeting, players should go to the proper location:

  • The Skeld- Meetings are held in the Cafeteria, which is the upper-middle section of the map. At the center table, players can select the button in the middle of said table.
  • MIRA HQ- Meetings are held in the Cafeteria, which is the bottom-right section of the map. Players can find the button on the bottom left table, which is easily accessed from the bottom.
  • Polus- Meetings are held in the Office, which is directly center of the map. The button is located on the conference table.
  • The Airship- Meetings are held in the Meeting Room, located in the northernmost room. The emergency button is in the second section of the room where the meeting table is.

2 How Crewmates Should Act In Emergencies

Emergency meetings have a bit of different energy from regular meetings. Most times, regular meetings just revolve around discovering where a body was found and then figuring out where everyone was that particular round. With emergency meetings, it's often that a player is calling them because they want to reveal information on another player.

The best thing that an innocent crewmate can do is just listen to what the player has to say. Unless they are lying about something that can easily be proved, it's best to sit back and let them hash it out with someone else. That said, if a player is being accused of something they didn't do, try to rationally provide evidence of how that isn't the case.

1 How Imposters Should Act In Emergencies

It's easier to take in emergency meetings when innocent. It's a much different experience in the shoes of the imposter. There's a good chance that, when an emergency meeting is called, a player is about to call the imposter out on doing something. Be prepared to deny, deflect, or come up with a story that ends with the accuser being voted off instead.

If an accuser is going after a fellow imposter, it might be best to remain silent unless there's a good defense to be made. If an accuser is going after an innocent crewmate, jump on the opportunity to get rid of them.
