In addition to revealing these financial numbers, the company listed some of the reasons for success throughout 2021. According to Zynga, subsidiary company Rollic, a game developer and publisher focused on hyper-causal games, had a very profitable quarter 3. The company noted that the impressive performance of the subsidiary over the previous quarter was one of its primary sources of revenue. Furthermore, the word game Words with Friends and the racing title CSR helped increase revenues, and the acquisition of Golf Rival played a part as well.

Based on the statistics reported by Zynga, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the mobile-centric company is seeing an increase in revenues. Over the past year, the company has seen an increase in mobile users logging into Zynga-owned mobile games. Based on mobile audience metrics, the company had 183 million monthly users in quarter 3 of 2021, up 120% from the same period last year.

As Zynga looks to garner more profits, it has several new games to help continue its financial success. The company is preparing to venture into console gaming with the upcoming release of Star Wars: Hunters. While this title is launching on mobile devices, it is coming to the Nintendo Switch as well. In addition to this new Star Wars game, Zynga also released FarmVille 3 worldwide last week.

It will be interesting to see how these new and upcoming releases influence revenue for quarter 4 of 2021 and into the beginning of 2022.
