Lycaon is a character that depends on building Daze on enemies. A character like that is required to stay on the field for a while to build the Daze Meter. Of course, in order to make the most of Lycaon’s time on the field, it’s better to put some power in every single one of this wolf’s punches and kicks.
The best way for Lycaon to build Daze is by holding down his Basic Attack multiple times after he finishes his combos. Not only his Basic Attacks, but Lycaon can also charge his Special Attack and EX Special Attack to deal a massive amount of Ice DMG while building Daze.
Lycaon Best W-Engine In ZZZ - Zenless Zone Zero
As an S-Rank character, Lycaon has his own 5-star weapon, and unsurprisingly, The Restrained is Lycaon's best-in-slot W-Engine in Zenless Zone Zero. Since Lycaon mostly depends on his Impact stat, The Restrained grants him 18% Impact and up to 30% DMG and Daze from Basic Attack, which is excellent for him. On the other hand, Hellfire Gears is also a great 5-star option for him since it also gives 18% Impact while granting more Energy Regen and Impact from its passive.
For A-Rank W-Engine choices, go for either Precious Fossilized Core or Six Shooter. They both have a 15% Impact on their sub-stats while granting Lycaon extra Daze from their passives. Finally, as a last choice, go for Steam Oven until you get a better weapon for Lycaon in Zenless Zone Zero. For an Impact unit, the 4pc of Shockstar Disco set is the best Drive Disc for Lycaon build in Zenless Zone Zero. It increases Lycaon’s Impact while ensuring he inflicts more Daze when hitting enemies, especially with his Basic Attacks.
Since you want to make the most of Lycaon’s punches, go for more Ice DMG on him by building him with 2pc of Polar Metal. ATK% is also viable by equipping 2pc of Hormone Punk. Build the main stats with Crit Rate or Crit DMG in the fourth slot and prioritize Crit Rate unless you get too lucky on the Discs’ Sub-stats. For the fifth slot, build more Ice DMG or ATK% to maximize the DMG Lycaon can deal with his attacks.
