A Zelda fan discovers a glitch that grants an endless supply of items from a Zonai device dispenser in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Zonai devices are key components for building vehicles and contraptions with the Ultrahand ability in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and players may restock their inventory of Zonai devices by heading to a device dispenser.

After Link wakes up in the Great Sky Island in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Rauru guides the hero toward the Temple of Time and various shrines located nearby. Link must learn the Ultrahand, Fuse, Ascend, and Recall abilities to gather power for his new arm and proceed into the temple. Rauru will appear throughout Link's journey in the Great Sky Island to inform him about the ancient Zonai civilization and its mysterious technology, and several Ancient Zonai Constructs offer tutorials and additional insight if Link talks to them. While exploring the island, players may come across a Zonai device dispenser, which grants an assortment of Zonai capsules in exchange for Zonai Charges and Soldier Construct Horns.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player Littleawkward1 recently discovered a glitch that grants an endless supply of items from a Zonai device dispenser located on West Necluda Sky Archipelago. A glitch caused the device dispenser to continuously produce Zonai capsules as along as the player was in the vicinity, and some Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players believe an error involving a short cutscene may be the cause. After inserting items into the device dispenser, a cutscene will play to show that the dispenser has successfully produced capsules for Link. Littleawkward1 appears to have bypassed that sequence, and the glitch causes the game to produce items in a seemingly endless loop.

Normally, Zonai device dispensers will spawn a set amount of capsules depending on the materials Link inserted into the machine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For example, inserting five Zonai Charges at once will give Link the most amount of capsules possible in a single draw, whereas a single Soldier Construct Horn will produce the least amount of capsules. The glitch appears to completely bypass the process and continuously produces capsules for the player until the game crashes or save data is loaded.

The exact cause of this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom glitch has not been determined, but some players believe the glitch may lead to new discoveries about other bugs and exploits. This particular glitch was discovered weeks after the latest Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update attempted to fix duplication glitches this past May. Although certain glitches were fixed at the time, duplication glitches still work in the game and more may be discovered before another update arrives.

A new update will likely launch alongside new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC at some point. While waiting on new DLC, fans may look forward to new Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-themed Zelda and Ganondorf amiibo launching in holiday 2023.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now for Nintendo Switch.
