Shrines are back in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, also known to some folks as Breath of the Wild 2. In order to find Princess Zelda in the Temple of Time, players will need to find a way to open the closed door. Rauru sends Link on a quest to complete several shrines on the Great Sky Island, and the first one players can get to is the Ukouh Shrine. This walkthrough will guide players through it without beating their heads against a wall.

Ukouh Shrine Location

Tears of the Kingdom players will find the Ukouh Shrine just a few feet away from the Temple of Time. Heads southwest, and players should see the structure with a green light spiraling out the top. Once players step inside, they will get to unlock the Ultrahand ability, allowing Link to grab, rotate, move, and stick objects together.

Upon walking in, players will find a platform lying on the ground. Press L to activate Ultrahand and then grab the platform, creating a bridge to the other side of the room. Hold R to rotate the bridge, and then use the directional pad (or motion controls) to place it down gently. Next, attach the two platforms together using Ultrahand to create an extra-long bridge. Place it down above the chasm to create a walkway for Link.

Before leaving this section, though, grab the bridge we just made and place it on the higher platform in the corner to reach a chest containing Amber, a crafting component.

In the next area, players will come across a rail that leads to the end of the shrine. There are multiple ways to get across, but we managed to grab one of the metal hooks and place it on the rail. Link can then climb and grab onto the hook, and it'll slide him down to safety. Attaching one (or both) of the hooks to the wooden platform might work for this, too, if players can get the angle right.

Interact with the statue to receive the first of many Light of Blessings, which can be used later to increase Link's health and stamina. Now, complete two more Shrines to open the Temple of Time door and find Princess Zelda (maybe?).
