In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players will encounter numerous challenging shrines. The Tenmaten Shrine, hidden deep underground, is one of a select few of these which are known as Rauru's Blessing shrines. These shrines offer a unique experience, challenging the player to solve their puzzles outside the confines of the shrine rather than within.

For this particular shrine, the challenge focuses on navigation and discovery. Here’s everything the player needs to know about finding and solving the Tenmaten Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

The Tenmaten Shrine is located underground in a cave accessed via a well in the Hyrule Plains, northwest of what remains of Hyrule Castle. The player can head here by following the coast along the moat surrounding Hyrule Castle, or by fast traveling to the nearby Lindor's Brow Skyview Tower and gliding far to the east. The well can be found along a lower cliff of the Irch Plain at coordinates -0669, 1350, 0088. Upon entering the well, Link will discover the Elma Knolls Cave.

When the player first descends the well, they will land in a pool of water. Nearby, they will find many Brightcaps and Brightbloom seeds, a torch, and a pile of wood. This serves as a hint to the challenge they are about to face deeper within. The player should then jump into the nearby hole, and they will land in a larger pool of water surrounded by darkness.

Around the pool, the player will find more Brightblooms, Brightcaps, and Glowing Cave Fish, providing some illumination to help them find dry land. The player can utilize consumables that offer the Glow buff or wear the Miner's Armor to produce enough light to navigate the cave. Alternatively, Link can rely on the nearby Brightbloom Seeds. Simply throw them to grow plants where they land, which provide an adequate amount of light.

Once the player exits the pool, they will encounter two Horriblins that can be dispatched quickly. As the player goes deeper into the cave, they will notice the indication of a shrine in the distance across a wide pool of water. Use Brightbloom seeds to spawn plants on the water's surface, providing sufficient lighting.

The player will discover several large planks of wood at the water's shore. If they have a Zonai Fan device, it can be used to create a raft, making it easy to cross the water. Otherwise, they will have to swim. The quickest and safest method is to head to the far leftmost wall and swim along it straight until reaching the shore, using consumables to restore stamina if needed.

Upon reaching the other side, the player will encounter a Fire Like enemy. Dodge its fireballs and defeat it when it exposes its stomach. Once the Fire Like has been handled, the player can head to the shrine. Behind the shrine, on the back wall, a few Luminous Stones can be collected by breaking the mineral veins.

The shrine will activate when the player arrives, allowing them to enter immediately. Inside, they will find a chest containing a Large Zonai Charge. The player can then proceed forward and interact with the statue at the end, which will grant them their Light of Blessing and complete the shrine.
