A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has come up with a snake mech build that can be used for traversal purposes. Tears of the Kingdom is renowned for its enhanced building mechanics, which allow players to make all sorts of fancy vehicles. Since the game's launch in May, players have been able to use all the tools at their disposal, including Link's Ultrahand and Recall abilities, to unleash their creativity.

In Tears of the Kingdom, vehicles can be used to cover great distances, but it can take up a number of Zonai devices and materials to build them. Though players are free to create unpowered cars, planes, and boats, they will want to add some machinery parts to see what they can do most with their vehicles. For example, players can either create laser destroyers that can automatically fire at enemies or make a combat drone that can launch multiple rockets. The core elements of these builds are Tears of The Kingdom's Zonai devices, which come with their fair share of benefits.

A creative Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player, who goes by MobilePlant8269 on Reddit, built a snake mech that can extend for stability during combat. The build seems to be composed of a number of Zonai Springs, a construct head, and a steering stick. According to the original poster, the vehicle is efficient in fuel consumption and has a laser weapon in its mouth to fire at enemies. What sets this snake mech apart from other war machines is that it can also shorten itself for mobility.

It looks like the vehicle relies on the Spring, one of the Zonai devices obtained from Device Dispensers in the Sky Islands. Players can use Tears of the Kingdom's Fuse ability to add a Spring to their shield, which allows them to push enemies further. The device is also handy for leaping to higher regions of Hyrule. It will be interesting to see what other vehicles players could build in the future.

While the ever-growing Zelda community has been busy creating makeshift vehicles from rechargeable electric cars to specially-modified buggies, the best inventions are sometimes mechs derived from animals. As an example, a crafty Tears of the Kingdom player built a walking spider mech that protects Link from nearby threats. When combined with Zonai devices like emitters and rockets, these intricate vehicles can be used to clear hordes of enemies.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
