While it was amiibo-exclusive for Breath of the Wild, Sheik's Mask is available for everyone in Tears of the Kingdom. This piece of armor is an obvious reference to Sheik from Ocarina of Time. While Sheik himself doesn't make an appearance, his mask will enhance Link's stealth if players are set on adding it to their collection.

Sheik's Mask is buried somewhere in The Depths of the southwest Gerudo Region in Tears of the Kingdom. There are two chasms that lead to the Desert Coliseum, which is where Sheik's Mask awaits. Players are advised to stock up on arrows and weapons before entering the coliseum.

Sheik's Mask Location (Desert Coliseum)

desert colosseum totk loz

Sheik's Mask is in the Desert Coliseum of the Gerudo Region. Players can enter through the East Gerudo Chasm (-2492, -3070, -0096) or the Birida Lookout Chasm (-3693, -1827, 0002). Also, while it's not required, it is recommended to activate the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower or the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower. This will make it easier to find the chasms on The Surface map. In fact, the East Gerudo Chasm and the Birdia Lookout Chasm are very close to the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower respectively.

Once they're in the Depths, players will want to head towards -4158, -3826, -0478. This is near the Kasari Lightroot.

If players are starting from the Birida Lookout Canyon, then they should head south to the Kasari Lightroot . They will find the following Lightroots along the way:

  • Rasinaduk Lightroot (-4168, 2412, -0487)
  • Gonatoyros Lightroot (-3846, -2945, -0487)

If players are starting from the East Gerudo Chasm, then they will want to head west to the Kasari Lightroot instead Players will find these Lightroots:

  • Amakawais Lightroot (-2439, -3343, -0465)
  • Gataharak Lightroot (-3728, -3624, -0494)

Those that leave from the East Gerudo Chasm should be careful of the Gerudo Underground Cemetary . This is crawling with gloom-Moth Gibdos and gloom-Gibdos. It's easier to circle around them. They will also want to look out for the Frox between the Amakawais and Gataharak Lightroots.

Desert Coliseum Monsters

loz totk desert colosseum

Players who have already received Majora's Mask or Midna's Mask may know what to expect from the Desert Coliseum. Link will need to defeat five waves of enemies before he can clear away the gloom on the treasure chest. Since the Desert Coliseum is buried, players can't glide in from the top. Instead, circle around the coliseum to the coordinates -1344, -3711, -0480.

The Desert Coliseum is packed with Horriblins, so players may want to have bows and Keese Eyeballs in their inventory. Attaching a Keese Eyeball to an arrow will automatically guide the arrow towards the enemy for a critical/headshot. If players don't want to waste Monster Materials, then they can use long-ranged weapons instead, or they can try and aim with regular arrows.

Try to do the Desert Coliseum after obtaining some of the Sages. Riju's Lightning Ability can come in handy when facing off against the Horriblins.

Wave 1

  • Enemies: Horriblins (x3)
  • Strategy: The easiest of the bunch. A strong bow coupled with an arrow to the head will take out all three. Because they're not too much of a nuisance, players should hold off on fusing Keese Eyeballs/heat-seeking Materials to arrows.

Wave 2

  • Enemies: Blue Horriblins ( x3 )
  • Strategy: These guys have more HP than the regular Horriblins, but they can be taken out the same way. Don't use any Keese Eyeballs with this wave either.

Wave 3

  • Enemies: Black Horriblins (x2)
  • Strategy: Black-tier monsters can be difficult to fight thanks to their HP and because they usually come packing with powerful weapons. There's only two, but players will want to knock them from the ceiling with arrows. If players want, they can start fusing Keese Eyeballs now. Try to take on one at a time if Link is losing HP.

Wave 4

  • Enemies: Silver Horriblin (x1)
  • Strategy: There's only one this time, but it's a Silver Horriblin. This means it's tanky and has a weapon that can cleave through Link's health with ease. One way to eliminate this issue is to hit the Silver Horriblin in the head while it's on the ceiling. Rush over when it falls, and smack it around with a powerful weapon. If the Horriblin drops his own weapon, players should snatch it up before the Horriblin can recover. When the Horriblin jumps back on the ceiling, players will want to distance themselves from it and resort back to hitting it with arrows.

Wave 5

  • Enemies: Horriblin (x1), Blue Horriblin (x1), Black Horriblin (x1), Silver Horriblin (x1)
  • Strategy: Four can be intimidating, but this round shouldn't be difficult if players take out the Horriblin and Blue Horriblin first. Use Keese Eyeballs if they get too close.
    • The Black Horriblin can go next. It may be easier to stun both the Black and Silver Horriblin so that they fall from the ceiling. While they're stunned, attack the Black Horriblin. Not stunning one of the Horriblins means it can attack Link while he's trying to defeat the other.

Once everyone's been defeated, the entrance to the coliseum will open up. Before leaving, loot the treasure chest (now free of gloom) to get Sheik's Mask.
