One Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has their attempt at a side quest ruined by one of their Sages. While the ability to build whatever the player pleases is a game-changing addition to Tears of the Kingdom, there are certain factors that can dampen a player's spirits when it comes to these new elements. Sometimes Tears of the Kingdom experiments lead to a rather messy conclusion. Most of the time, it's the player's own fault, but other times it can be blamed on the Sages .

In Tears of the Kingdom, there is a continuous quest where the player has to help a man named Addison keep a sign of President Hudson steady so that he can plant it into the ground. As the quest starts, it's rather simple, with the player usually needing to keep it up using a couple pieces of wood. However, as the quest continues, the designs for the signs get more and more ridiculous, leading to much more intricate builds to make sure it doesn't fall down. In turn, the player is rewarded some money, a rice ball meal, and a random object.

For one Tears of the Kingdom player, they had to start over their rather complex design due to the fault of an explosive Sage. Posting to the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, user Riahisama uploaded a clip of them attempting to finish one of these many sign quests. In the video, they make a structure that holds the side up, using quite a few pieces of wood, and then go to talk to Addison. However, if the player moves an object around Addison, he gets frightened and needs to calm down from it before being talked to.

Yet the player still tries to talk to Addison, continuously pressing the A button, which accidentally activates Yunobo the Sage. Yunobo turns into a ball and is sent after whatever is in front of Link, causing it to explode, which in this case is the structure they made to hold up the sign. The structure falls to pieces like one Tears of the Kingdom player's contraption attempt with rockets and bombs. In the comments, users lament at how easy it is to destroy everything with Yunobo, suggesting better ways to activate Sages.

While the Sages can be helpful in not just their assistance, but making life in Tears of the Kingdom's Hyrule just a little less lonely, they also come with their issues. Yunobo's is one of the more prominent ones, where if the player presses a button at the wrong time, their newly-built vehicle could be destroyed in seconds. Fans argue there should be a more secure way to activate a Sage, so accidents such as this don't happen.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
