Between amazing building mechanics, fun combat, and a great open-world environment, Tears of the Kingdom offers something for almost every type of gamer. However, sometimes players encounter situations in the game that are unlucky, to say the least.
For one particular player known as AmazinglySpicy on Reddit, their fight with the King Gleeok took an unfortunate turn when a Blood Moon appeared right after AmazinglySpicy delivered the killing blow. When a Blood Moon appears in Tears of the Kingdom, it revives every monster Link has defeated since the last Blood Moon occurred. The clip AmazinglySpicy shared to Reddit shows Link defeating the King Gleeok, followed by the sky turning red, signaling the approach of the Blood Moon.
After the Blood Moon shows itself in the sky, the King Gleeok is brought back to life, hilariously flying away as if nothing ever happened in the first place. There can be some frustrating situations in Tears of the Kingdom, but sometimes the timing is so perfect that it's hard not to find humor in the situation. Fellow fans commenting on AmazinglySpicy's post shared their condolences for the bad luck but also couldn't help but laugh at the situation. Some players commenting even mentioned that this exact same situation has happened to them before.
With Tears of the Kingdom's amazing sales making the game one of the biggest successes of the year, players are loving its story and unique mechanics, like the amazing building possibilities. However, sometimes a playthrough doesn't go according to plan, and it can be a humbling experience. It's unfortunate that all of AmazinglySpicy's hard work was quickly made useless, but it at least serves as a great example of how games can be surprising, even in the worst ways.
