A creative The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has built an impressive forklift that can send enemies flying for quite a distance. Tears of the Kingdom players have been coming up with unique ways to take on the many foes of Hyrule since the game’s release earlier this year. From using bees to take on Moblins, which are considered one of Tear’s of the Kingdom’s deadliest enemies outside of bosses, to using a laser contraption to eliminate a King Gleeok, players are having fun showing enemies why Link is the legendary hero.

Despite being a massively popular game worldwide, a recent report stated that, surprisingly, Tears of the Kingdom was not Japan’s best-selling Switch game for 2023 but Suika Game, a puzzle title. However, Tears of the Kingdom was still one of Nintendo’s highest-rated games this year, especially because of the freedom it offers in terms of exploration and even sandbox versatility, which has led it to become one of the best games for many in 2023.

A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player uses their ingenuity and makes one of the most destructive 'lawnmowing' devices on the face of Hyrule.

A Reddit user going by the handle Ultrababouin has introduced high-powered machinery in the form of a forklift to Hyrule, which they have been using to send smaller enemies like Bokoblins and Lizalfos flying off into the distance. The vehicle, dubbed the Forkyeet, utilizes a combination of some of the most useful Zonai devices, such as springs and big wheels, along with rails, which can be found in most shrines. Ultrababouin’s video in the Hyrule Engineering subreddit also showcased them taking on enemies in locations like the Gerudo Desert, as well as a Monster Horde, particularly the one found in the Akkala Region during the Bring Peace to Akkala side adventure.

Ultrababouin’s forklift was inspired by another build referred to as the Flight Instructor that was created by osh-kosh-ganache, another user who frequents the Tears of the Kingdom-inspired subreddit. This player’s vehicle was used to test how long some of the residents of Hateno Village could fly, but it also uncovered a unique feature in that when the NPCs were in the air, they would not fall if Link did not look at them. Ultrababouin’s build was well received in the subreddit, with even osh-kosh-ganache complimenting the vehicle.

Builds like Ultrababouin’s and osh-kosh-ganache’s demonstrate the powerful and versatile sandbox that Nintendo has created in Tears of the Kingdom. With the game’s highly realistic physics, it is no surprise that a University of Maryland professor made a mechanical engineering course around Tears of the Kingdom.
