An adventurous Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player is shocked to find the biggest surprise possible while falling into a chasm. As far as surprises found in Tears of the Kingdom go, what this player discovers in the chasm is enough to make most Zelda fans jump.

When Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom would be reusing the same map from Breath of the Wild, many fans were skeptical that there wouldn’t be enough to do. When the game came out, fans were pleasantly surprised that an underground map referred to as the Depths was added underneath Hyrule, a feature that was kept secret by Nintendo. To enter the underground area of the game, players can jump into one of the many open chasms around Hyrule. Once inside, players will find many surprising encounters, including gloom-invested creatures, hidden Yiga Clan bases, and a lot of darkness.

Reddit user RoyalGuardLink posted a video of a very surprising moment that happened on their way into the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom. In the clip, Link can be seen paragliding over the chasm in one of the snowy areas of Hyrule. As Link drops into the hole, the name of the chasm appears on the screen: Naydra Snowfield Chasm. Suddenly, Naydra herself rises up from the darkness, and Link lands right on her nose. The gigantic dragon barely blinks as it continues its journey out of the Depths.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Naydra was one of the three dragons that players could find flying around Hyrule. The dragons are back in Tears of the Kingdom, but this time, players can get on top of them much easier thanks to the different types of flying vehicles that can be made from the Zonai devices in the game. The dragons in Tears of the Kingdom are not relegated to the sky this time either, as the three main dragons can all enter and exit the Depths whenever they want. RoyalGuardLink landed on top of Naydra as she was exiting the chasm.

As rare as it is to land on a dragon coming out of the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom, there were a few Reddit users who claimed that the same thing happened to them. One comment even mentioned that the first time they saw a dragon in the game was when they passed by one jumping into a chasm. It’s moments like these that make Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom one of the more memorable games in the series.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
