An avid dataminer found some possible hints about future DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, having unearthed some unused paraglider fabrics from Nintendo's hit game. Their discovery arrives just as the fandom has started brainstorming ideas for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC.

One of the many ways that Tears of the Kingdom ups the ante compared to its predecessor is in its handling of the paraglider, which was introduced in Breath of the Wild. While this tool is once again among Link's most useful modes of transportation, players are now also able to customize it with dozens of fabrics scattered across Hyrule. Many of these skins can be found sitting in chests, while others are given out as quest rewards.

Others still might be planned as future DLC, with YouTuber Lootward recently uncovering two such fabrics that already have in-game models but cannot be unlocked through normal gameplay. The skins in question are called Princess Zelda and Gerudo King, denoted by ID numbers 1049 and 1050, respectively. Since the IDs of all paraglider fabrics in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom follow a simple indexing format, some fans believe that these two unused models aren't necessarily a sign of future DLC but hints of upcoming amiibo figurines.

For context, the last ID associated with a currently unlockable paraglider skin is 1048, which denotes the Champion's Tunic Fabric obtainable by scanning the Tears of the Kingdom Link amiibo. Another piece of circumstantial evidence substantiating the amiibo theory relates to the presently available TotK paraglider fabrics with "Princess" or "Gerudo" in their name. All of them — Princess of Twilight, Hyrule-Princess, Gerudo, and Gerudo-Champion — are only obtainable as unique drops rewarded for scanning select Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom amiibo.

If Nintendo is truly planning to release at least two more Tears of the Kingdom amiibo, the newly datamined paraglider fabrics ought to offer some hints as to their design. Namely, the Princess Zelda paraglider appears to be based on Zelda's Zonai outfit, while the Gerudo King one is clearly inspired by Ganondorf's look from some Tears of the Kingdom cutscenes.

And while the DLC interpretation of these recently uncovered paraglider fabrics may be less likely, that doesn't change the widespread fan expectation that post-launch content for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is only a question of time. The Breath of the Wild expansion pass was originally announced some two months following the previous Zelda game's release, so if that timing is any indication, official news on the Tears of the Kingdom DLC front might arrive as early as July.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
