Unfortunate timing for one Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player makes it seem like the Koroks are taking their revenge after all of the torture devices and traps made against them. Expanding upon the open world of Breath of the Wild, Nintendo has seemingly enhanced player creativity even more for Tears of the Kingdom with an even bigger world to explore as well as a new suite of abilities to use. One such power, known as Ultrahand, allows players to essentially build nearly anything they can think of, from vehicles and structures, to other objects made to overcome specific challenges.

Since launch, there has been no shortage of unique and interesting creations, with some Tears of the Kingdom players building impressive mechs, while others came up with an ingenious solution to solving one of the many shrines dotted throughout Hyrule. There has also been a few who opted to use Link's abilities for more devious purposes against the woodland creatures known as Koroks, building torture devices or making vehicles to see how far they can launch them. Now, it seems the Koroks are taking their revenge.

In a new video posted on the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, a user known as Groovycrepes posted a short video showing them discovering a Korok plate on top of a statue. Typically, players can come across these creatures all over the world, sometimes through completing little puzzles like following a flower, picking up a strange rock, or in this case, standing on a platform and performing an action. In this case, standing on the small platform triggered an event even the player did not see coming.

Instead of solving a small puzzle, the player was met with a falling rock from the sky, instantly knocking them off of the statue and sent tumbling to the ground. Thankfully, it wasn't enough to kill the player, but as many joked in the comment section, this random occurrence was like a trap set up by the Korok to get revenge for all of the torture chambers players have built since Tears of the Kingdom launched.

Korok torture isn't the only way that players flex their creativity. Thankfully, there are those who have come up with some impressive solutions to activities within the game, such as one Zelda player using Recall to overcome a three-minute collection challenge with an NPC named Juney. It's moments like that which really pushes Tears of the Kingdom to the forefront of player expression.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
