A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has shared that they received a charming Korok cake for their birthday. The cake pulls together multiple elements to create a scene that looks like it would fit perfectly in the Lost Woods.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Koroks have a mixed reputation among players. After their appearance in Breath of the Wild, some fans were pleased to see Koroks again in Tears of the Kingdom, while others had clearly had enough of the woodland characters always needing Link's help. This has led to a wide variety of methods of messing with Koroks, from using Link's fuse ability to attach rockets to them to creating giant constructs to torture Koroks. Those who actually like them, however, will likely be pleased by the existence of this cake.

Reddit user Dave0498 shared the image of his new Tears of the Kingdom birthday cake, which his wife lovingly had made for him. The cake is largely made up of a realistically rendered tree stump, with small decorative adornments like acorns, mushrooms, and plant growth scattered across it. The top of the cake features three Koroks and a series of candles between them. The final touch is a birthday message on the front of the tree stump, complete with the Korok's iconic "Yahaha!" that they typically say when being discovered in a hiding spot by Link.

Fans of the game have been quick to share how impressed they are at the design of the cake, while many pointed out that Dave0498 is lucky to have a loving wife that thought to do something like this, even joking that they should marry her again. According to Dave0498, the flavor was vanilla cake with berry, and it was produced by a bakery in Lancaster, Pennsylvania called The Flour Child. Apparently the cake was very tasty, though Dave0498 also noted that the Koroks themselves are from a separate vendor. Apparently, the Korok stakes were originally intended to be used as yard decorations, but they work perfectly here as cake toppers.

Looking to a gamer's favorite game or series can often provide plenty of inspiration for celebrating a birthday or other major event. One loving husband recently threw a Stardew Valley-inspired birthday celebration for their wife. Gamers also often end up delighted to discover that their favorite games have a surprise waiting for them on their special day, so it's likely this trend will continue into the future.
