The latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reveals more information about the upcoming adventures of Link and shares a first look at Ganondorf. Link’s nemesis is almost as popular as Hyrule’s hero himself, but wasn’t yet officially confirmed to appear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Ganon first appeared in the original The Legend of Zelda game released in 1986 for the NES, as the villain tried to conquer Hyrule and steal the Triforce of Power. He was then featured in most entries in the franchise, serving as the main antagonist and enemy of Link. Sometimes appearing as his blue bear-like true form under the name of Ganon, Ganondorf is a real threat to the peace of Hyrule and often plots to take over the kingdom. Ganon is the main villain in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, where a primal evil known as Calamity Ganon ravaged the world a thousand years before the events of the game.
