One player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom showed off a creative way to make a floating platform, and posted a video of how they pulled it off. With a Zonai Wing and clever use of Link's Recall ability, the Tears of the Kingdom player crossed a chasm without a problem and surprised some social media viewers.

Following the release of Tears of the Kingdom, two of the game's main mechanics that players quickly picked up on were Link's abilities and the various Zonai devices that dot the landscape. Though Tears of the Kingdom allows players to flex their creative muscles, one player took a practical approach to solving a problem. A Redditor named Producer_Earth shared a 24-second video on the r/tearsofthekingdom subreddit of what they did to make a floating platform over a canyon. In their clip, the OP took out a Zonai Wing while gliding in midair, which led to it immediately taking flight. However, the OP was able to land on the Zonai Wing and activated Link's Recall ability after a short time to suspend the Wing in midair, and it stopped at the point that the OP spawned it. This allowed the OP to use a Rocket Shield while standing on the Wing and glide toward a Korok that was waiting for them on a ledge.

Though the Zonai Wing is a nifty device that Zelda fans have used in various creations, the OP's clever use of a Wing did not go unnoticed by other Tears of the Kingdom players. In the comments on Producer_Earth's video post, some players said that they did not know such a thing was possible even after several hours of playing. Some users also lamented not using Recall too often and complimented the OP for demonstrating the Wing and Recall ability.

While the Zonai Wing and the Recall ability can only stay in the air for a short time compared to other Tears of the Kingdom traversal methods, the fact that the two can be used together is a testament to the creativity of Zelda fans.
