A Zelda:Tears of the Kingdom player discovers an extremely effective way to one shot enemies using a Dazzlefruit. Nintendo's follow up to Breath of the Wild has seen unprecedented success both in terms of sales as well as community engagement.

Outside of just sales figures, part of the appeal of Tears of the Kingdom is how flexible the systems are with abilities like Ultrahand allowing players to create all sorts of objects like vehicles, traps, and many other things. Fuse is another new ability that enables players to unite two objects into one. The most basic example is taking a simple sword and fusing it with a boulder to form a Rock Hammer. Nearly every item in the game can be used in some capacity, whether for cooking, as a weapon, or to add an elemental effect to something, though not everything is seen as immediately helpful.

The Dazzlefruit, an item which retains most of its value as an ingredient to be added to a cooking pot, may actually be more useful as a combat tool than originally thought. One user named AgentAndrewO on the Tears of the Kingdom subReddit showcased how potent it can be after fusing it to their Forest Dweller Sword. With undead Stalfos nearby, the player triggers the dazzlefruit stun by hitting one of the Stalfos, though the effect also instantly kills all other enemies nearby as well.

The revealing thread has also seen a few other community Dazzlefruit suggestions rise as well, with numerous people saying Dazzlefruit is great for dealing with Gloom Hands. Either throwing or fusing Dazzlefruit to an arrow and striking the enemy will stun them for a short period of time, giving players a chance to escape to safety or attack them with bombs or explosive ruby arrows.

Another individual suggested that Dazzlefruit is effective against Gibdo enemies in the Gerudo Desert area. According to user Sithina, lower level Gibdo die instantly, while stronger versions turn white and can then be one shot with just about any weapon. In fact, Sithina followed up by revealing that Dazzlefruit can be extremely helpful during the Lightning Temple and its imposing boss fight.

While Tears of the Kingdom definitely encourages player creativity and experimentation, sometimes, players can certainly overthink things. In fact, one player created a laser weapon to help deal with Tears of the Kingdom's aggressive Lynel enemies. While the auto-targetting weapon proved effective, it had one massive flaw which ended the fight earlier than the player likely wanted.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on Nintendo Switch.
