The market for Collector's Edition extras is quite popular, with pre-orders and sales going through the roof at launch, with re-sale prices going for astronomical prices. As of this writing, it's unknown how many pins are involved in the set, but one of them can be seen in the announcement photo towards the end of the Nintendo Direct.

The last time a Link Amiibo was released was back in 2019 when Link's Awakening got its very own Amiibo. Pairing it with the game unlocked the "+Shadow Link Effect" chamber effect, while many other Amiibos provided players with different perks as well. It isn't uncommon for older Link Amiibos to be compatible with newer games, one example being the Wolf Link Amiibo pairing up with Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, despite the two items being released one year apart from one another. The 2023 Link Amiibo features the blonde-haired character with his arm extended out, utilizing the power from his gauntlet, armed with his sword and a set of arrows attached to his hip.

Players looking to pick up both the Collector's Edition and Link Amiibo will have to make two separate purchases, as the Amiibo will not be included in the package. Fortunately for Zelda fans, Link Amiibos from previous releases appear to be restocking in select stores, leading many to believe they'll have significant power buffs in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The 13th addition to the Link Amiibo series is sure to be one heavily sought after by fans of the franchise.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches May 12 for Nintendo Switch.
