Tears of the Kingdom includes a plethora of different armor sets for players to find and collect. Some sets are rarer than others, and can have some really helpful effects. Sticking to one set at a time limits the player to only one of these effects. By mixing and matching their pieces of armor, players can gain access to multiple effects at a time.
Some of these boosts can combine really well together, and make a balanced armor set-up. These armor sets can be particularly useful in certain situation, such as traversing some of the warmer or colder regions of Hyrule. To give Tears of the Kingdom players some inspiration, these are some of the best balanced armor set-ups.
8 Hot Weather Traversal
Players who are looking for an effective way to navigate the Gerudo Desert in Tears of the Kingdom should try this armor combination. Players will first need the Ember Headdress, which will increase their attack in Hot Weather. This will make dealing with the Gerudo Desert's pesky enemies much easier.
Secondly, they will need the Desert Voe Spaulder. This piece of armor will increase Link's Heat Resistance, making it much easier to traverse the hot climate without being damaged. Finally, the player will want to get their hands on some Sand Boots. These handy shoes will allow Link to walk over sand at a quicker and most efficient pace.
7 Cold Weather Traversal
Some of the colder regions in Tears of the Kingdom can be particularly difficult to traverse. However, players can try out this balanced armor set to make these cold regions just that little bit easier to travel. First they will need a Ruby Circlet, which can be purchased from the jewelry store in Gerudo Town. This piece of equipment will increase Link's Cold Resistance.
Next, the player will need the Frostbite Shirt, which will increase their attack in Cold Weather. Finally, the player should equip some Archaic Warm Greaves, which will further increase their Cold Resistance.
6 Stormy Weather Traversal
Tears of the Kingdom players who are trying to navigate stormy weather conditions should try this armor combination for easier traversal. The Opal Earrings will increase Link's Swim Speed, and the Rubber Armor will increase Link's shock resistance. This will make the player less susceptible to damage for lightning.
Finally, the player should equip the Froggy Leggings. This piece of equipment will increase Link's Slip Resistance, making it easier to climb walls in the soggy conditions of a storm.
5 The Depths Exploration
The Depths are one of the most dangerous locations in Tears of the Kingdom. Luckily, there are a few pieces of equipment that players can use to make their adventuring down there a little bit easier.
Midna's Helmet is an incredibly rare, but very powerful, piece of equipment that will grant players a couple of hearts worth of Gloom Resistance. For even more Gloom Resistance, the player can equip the Tunic of the Depths. Finally, to light their way, players should equip the Miner's Trousers.
4 Electric Enemy Battles
Enemies with Electric powers can be a real pain to deal with in Tears of the Kingdom. To help players battle them more efficiently, they should try equipping the following pieces of equipment. The Vah Naboris Divine Helm will increase the player's Shock Resistance, making Shock enemies much less punishing to fight.
For additional Shock Resistance, the player can equip the Rubber Armor. Finally, the player should equip some Barbarian Leg Wraps - this armor will increase Link's Attack, allowing the player to take out Electric enemies much quicker.
3 Increased Mobility
Having plenty of mobility is incredibly important in Tears of the Kingdom. Luckily, there are a few pieces of armor that will increase Link's mobility in various ways. The Opal Earrings will increase his Swim Speed, whereas the Glide Shirt will make it much easier to move around whilst skydiving.
Sand Boots are also a great way to increase Link's mobility, as they allow him to travel over sand at a much faster rate. This armor set in particular is great for exploring some of the deserts and coastlines around Hyrule.
2 Depths Damage Mitigation
Players with plenty of Rupees to spare, and want to mitigate the damage they take whilst in The Depths as much as possible, should try this armor combination. Midna's Helmet and the Tunic of the Depths will give the player some additional Gloom Resistance hearts, which will protect Link from losing his own hearts to Gloom.
Once the player has burned through these, the Mythic Trousers will come into play. These trousers will cause the player to lose Rupees, instead of health, whenever they're hit by an enemy. For players struggling with minimal hearts, this combination might just be their solution.
1 Day And Night In The Gerudo Desert
The Gerudo Desert is a dangerous place in Tears of the Kingdom. It's full of some of the most challenging enemies in the game, which is why the player should bring along a Diamond Circlet. This piece of equipment will increase Link's attack, making it easier to take out some of the more problematic enemies.
Enemies aren't the only thing that make the Gerudo Desert dangerous. Its fluctuating temperatures can really mess with players who aren't prepared. As a result, players should make sure they bring along a Desert Voe Spaulder to increase their Heat Resistance, and some Archaic Warm Greaves to increase their Cold Resistance.
