One inventive The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player figured out a reliable method for taking out the game's final boss in less than a minute. Their newly shared strategy is also fairly straightforward to replicate, which should allow pretty much anyone to trivialize Tears of the Kingdom's most difficult boss fight.

Like many other Zelda games before it, Tears of the Kingdom concludes by pitting Link against Ganondorf. The final fight technically has four stages, although the final one is mostly cinematic and nearly impossible to lose. The first three, however, get increasingly more challenging, not least because Ganondorf mirrors Link's move set while also having a few extra tricks up his sleeve. Many players praised the overall design of this encounter, labeling Tears of the Kingdom's final boss fight as a perfect combination of two distinct formulas.
As is the case with every other fight in the game, the level of challenge posed by Ganondorf is inversely proportional to the player's level of preparedness. This was now perfectly illustrated by Reddit user CaperKnight, who managed to defeat the final boss in just over 50 seconds. The key to their approach were half a dozen Gibdo Claymores, which can be created by fusing a Gibdo Bone—one of Tears of the Kingdom's most underrated fuse materials—to a Royal Guard Claymore, ideally its Pristine variant which can be found throughout The Depths.
The resulting weapon will have a base attack power of 79, with CaperKnight further boosting that figure by ensuring every single claymore they brought to the fight was on its last point of durability. For clarity, all weapons in the game do double damage on their final hit. CaperKnight also faced Ganondorf in a full set of Tears of the Kingdom's Evil Spirit Armor, which improves Link's bone weapon proficiency, essentially upping its damage by another 80%.
As soon as the encounter started, the player simply began throwing their stack of near-destroyed Gibdo Claymores at Ganondorf, disposing of him in literal seconds once cutscenes and loading times are taken out of the equation. The game's final boss took exactly two claymores to the face per each stage of the fight with his human form. CaperKnight hence promptly proceeded to the sequence featuring Link's clash with Ganondorf's dragon form.
Neither Gibdo Bones nor Royal Guard Claymores are particularly challenging to procure by the time Tears of the Kingdom's ending rolls around. Any player that reaches the game's final boss should thus be able to easily mimic this strategy in case Ganondorf gives them too much trouble.
