A player of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has built an impressive battering ram that seems to serve its main function very well. For fans who are looking to build the same machine in Tears of the Kingdom, they might want to take a few notes on how this player was able to put together such a functional yet magnificent creation.

Ever since the action RPG was launched in May 2023, the community seems to have come alive with their creative construction ideas. The building features of Tears of the Kingdom offer players plenty of freedom when it comes to making their own gadgets, vehicles, or machines, so it is not surprising that posts about them are abundant online. And given that there is no confirmed news from Nintendo about future Tears of the Kingdom DLC yet, the community has no choice but to occupy its time with the available features the video game currently has to offer.

On Reddit, user vanilla_thunder_96 shared a short video of the impressive battering ram contraption they built in Tears of the Kingdom. Though the machine does not look too elaborate, the builder definitely took some time to ensure that the battering ram performs its function well. The combination of Zonai pieces is well thought out, with vanilla_thunder_96 using fans to propel the machine forward and Flame Emitters to power the actual battering arm. In the video, the machine can be seen slamming against a large gate and pushing it slightly open all within a span of 30 seconds.

The Redditor also made reference to The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King when they shared the video of their battering ram, saying "Grond will breach it" in reference to Sauron's giant, hundred-foot battering ram that was shaped like a wolf's head. Fellow fans appreciated the callback to LotR, with several making a comment thread just repeating Grond's name. Of course, others were fairly impressed by the builder's work. Given the limited amount of buildable objects and Zonai Devices in Tears of the Kingdom, creating a fully functional battering ram is truly an incredible accomplishment.

With players of Tears of the Kingdom always looking to build something new in their playthrough, it might be fun to see if they will take inspiration from vanilla_thunder_96's battering ram. It is possible that they replicate the machine in their own games, but they could also improve upon the design further. Nevertheless, the player base will always find ways to make things entertaining for fellow fans of Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
