The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom introduced the Ultrahand ability to Link’s array of weapons. With this new ability, Link can pick up, move, or rotate items. Link can also use this ability to fuse items and make all sorts of creations.
Players have to complete the Ukuoh Shrine during the game's tutorial chapter to get this ability and learn how to use the Ultrahand. This ability leaves a lot to the imagination, and players can easily get creative with what they build. They can add boosts to weapons, create vehicles or other contraptions, and even give themselves an extra edge in fights against Ganondorf's monsters.
8 Lift Multiple Items
Players can use the Ultrahand ability to select and lift multiple logs or rocks at once, which they can strike the enemies with. Players can also lift and drop heavy items or explosives on enemies.
With the Ultrahand ability, Link can easily carry items that are very heavy. One of the major perks of this ability lies in the fact that there is no limit to the weight or number of items Link can carry simultaneously. Drop multiple items on skeletal enemies and watch them crumble.
7 Combine Zonai Devices
Zonai devices are powerful, and players can combine them with other items to produce contraptions with immense effects. The Ultrahand ability allows players to combine different Zonai devices to create amazing machines and tools. What players can create depends on how creative they want to get and whatever problems the device would help Link resolve.
A player can use Ultrahand with Zonai Devices to create planes that allow Link to drop bombs on enemies, and fans to propel Link over large crevices. Players can get these Zonai devices from Zonai dispensers found throughout Hyrule.
6 Build Flying Attack Devices
Players can use Ultrahand to build flying devices to use in combat and rain attacks on enemies. Players can attach beam emitters and cannons to planes, hovercrafts, or any flying devices.
With this weaponized flying devices, Link can kill scores of enemies by launching attacks from up high when they are clustered together. It ensures that Link remains out of the attack range of most of the enemies in battle, allowing the player to evade and dodge weapons.
5 Add Burst Of Speed To Projectiles
With this ability, players can add another burst of speed to projectiles. They can do this by determining the direction of the projectile before it is fired. This will increase the speed of the project towards the direction the player determines with Ultrahand.
The increased speed of the projectile increases the damage a weapon can inflict on enemies in battle. It also increases the potent range of the missile as it can travel faster. This burst of speed also makes it incredibly difficult for enemies to evade Link’s attacks.
4 Crush Enemies With Boulders
Players can use the Ultrahand skill to crush and damage enemies with boulders. Link can use Ultrahand to drag a boulder down a cliff. This causes considerable damage and can destroy multiple enemies at once.
Rather than fuse boulders with a sword or a spear, players can simply select and drag heavy boulders and use as a weapon. This is ideal when Link is fighting enemies like Bokoblins, Stamobli, and other skeletal enemies in Tears Of The Kingdom.
3 Build Combat Vehicles
With Ultrahand, players can build almost anything they can imagine. Link can build vehicles and equip them with cannons which he can use to blast away the enemies. It gives the player greater maneuverability and protection in combat, as they can shoot at enemies from a distance.
Players can also use Ultrahand to create planes, enabling Link to travel over mountains and over large holes without taking a detour. Players can build any kind of vehicle using Ultrahand as long as they can imagine the shape and form it will take.
2 Construct Attack Devices With Homing Cart
Players can build an attack tank that automatically seeks and destroys enemies. However, players do have limited control over the tank’s movement and direction. The tank can be built by combining a homing cart, a cannon, and a construct head together.
These attack tanks can destroy enemies indiscriminately. Players can also weaponize the Homing Cart by attaching a flame emitter, which inflicts burn damage, or shock emitter which can temporarily immobilize and stun enemies.
1 Detonate Bomb Flowers Remotely
Several players have said they miss the remote bomb detonation available in Breath Of The Wild. But in Tears of the Kingdom, Link can use the Ultrahand ability to remotely detonate bomb flowers. Bomb Flowers explodes on impact; however players can determine when it explodes with this ability.
By using Ultrahand, players can detonate Bomb Flowers from a distance and at a moment of impact of their choosing. They can decide to drop the Bomb flowers when they are far from enemies or before the enemies notice the presence of Link in the battlefield.
