The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom pays homage to some of the previous games in the franchise, though these references can be hidden away in odd places if players do not know where to look. One of those homages includes the cel-shaded title The Wind Waker for the Gamecube.
Players can adorn Link in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with the Island Lobster Shirt, which is what young Link in The Wind Waker wore at the start of the game. Not only does the shirt pay homage, but can be useful in-game. This guide will show players where it is located and how to get it.
Island Lobster Shirt Location
The Island Lobster Shirt can be found near Lurelin Village in the southeaster corner of Hyrule. The coordinates to get a good view of the task ahead are (2888, -3571, 0000). Players can launch themselves from the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower and glide down to the bay.
The Sifumim Shrine can also be found on the way to Lurelin Village, and will serve as a better fast travel point if claimed. The location at the coordinates overlooks the bay with a monster pirate ship sitting in the middle of it, though players do not need to enter the ship or fight any monsters to get the Island Lobster Shirt.
How to Get the Island Lobster Shirt
The Island Lobster Shirt is actually in a treasure chest that has sunk to the bottom of the bay and is underneath the pirate ship. Since Link cannot simply dive into the water to get the chest, players will have to do a little construction to reach the chest.
Players should be on the western side of the ship, where there are two wooden boards sitting around on the beach. Use the Ultrahand ability to attach the two boards together lengthwise, and then place in the water close enough to the beach to jump onto it. Get as close to the treasure chest on the floating boards without falling into the water, and then use Ultrahand to grab the chest directly and carry it back onto land to open it.
The chest will contain the Island Lobster Shirt, which is a singular piece of clothing and not part of any set. It comes with a base armor stat of one, and provides heat resistance that can help Link survive in some of Hyrule's hottest places.
