One impatient The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan recently went online to share an incredible replica Guardian Sword they made while awaiting the highly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The replica is made from stained-glass, and captures the art style of the latest Legend of Zelda titles. Despite the fact that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is releasing on May 12, some fans can't wait to try the latest open-world Nintendo title.

The Guardians are hostile automata that players encounter throughout Breath of the Wild. Originally meant to protect Hyrule and its citizens, the Guardians are corrupted by Calamity Ganon and become hostile machines that harm those unfortunate enough to encounter them. Players can defeat Guardians and obtain the aforementioned Guardian Sword, and several variants that increase the sword's stats. Luckily, it seems as though Guardians and other similar technologies could be absent from Tears of the Kingdom, but no official confirmation has been provided. Although the machines will likely not be returning, longtime series antagonist Ganondorf will be.

One impatient The Legend of Zelda fan, PiercedOtter, shared an incredible replica of the Guardian Sword, which they created from stained-glass, on Reddit. The replica is a Guardian Sword++, the strongest variant of the Guardian weapon. The stained-glass replica is incredibly accurate to Breath of the Wild, and serves as the latest impressive Guardian-centric artwork from a fan. While some fans hated the inclusion of the machine enemies in Breath of the Wild, some fans seem hopeful to see them return.

Commenters on PiercedOtter's post shared their enthusiasm for the incredible stained-glass replica, as well as some jokes about the Guardian Sword. Among these jokes are numerous "durability low" comments, a reference to the weapon durability system from Breath of the Wild that many fans disliked. While the comments range from humorous to congratulatory, what's apparent is that PiercedOtter's work is remarkable in the eyes of The Legend of Zelda fans.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is releasing soon, and many fans are eager to get into the open-world gameplay style that Breath of the Wild brought to the franchise. While some fans are already dreading the return of weapon durability systems, others are looking forward to the returning aspects such as the long-awaited Ganondorf return. While the extent of returning features is still somewhat unknown, players won't have to wait long to finally experience the open world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will release on May 12 for Nintendo Switch.
