While different colored tunics with different abilities and full outfits providing special buffs have appeared in past Zelda games such as Ocarina of Time and Tri-Force Heroes, players have especially latched onto the different clothing items and outfits available in Breath of the Wild.

Breath of the Wild Gerudo Linl

When going to Gerudo Village, Link needs to disguise himself as a woman in order to enter. The outfit his receives for this task is incredibly popular among fans and may in fact be the most popular outfit in all of Breath of the Wild. Many characters compliment Link while he wears the Gerudo Veil, Gerudo Top, and Gerudo Sirwal as well, prompting many adorable reactions from the Hero of the Wilds.

Other than allowing access into Gerudo Village, the Gerudo set also provides a total of level 1 heat resistance and 3 defense. While it isn't the best for combat, its looks have charmed so many players that some have worn it for the rest of the Breath of the Wild's story for aesthetic purposes alone.

Since Breath of the Wild 2 is confirmed to be reusing the map of Hyrule from the original Breath of the Wild to build upon, Gerudo Village has a strong possibility to return once more. In that case, Link may need to break out the Gerudo set once more in order to get inside. If the Gerudo set were to return, there are also possibilities for it to get better stats or be able to be upgraded. It already can be dyed, so having it be more viable for combat purposes could really appeal to a lot of this set's fans.

Loz BOTW Sheikah Set

Like the Gerudo set, many players love the aesthetic behind the Stealth set, which is available in Kakariko Village for a total of 1,800 rupees. This outfit additionally provides stealth and can increase Link's movement at night after being upgraded.

The Stealth set has Link in a traditional Sheikah warrior garb and pays homage to the warrior clan that appears throughout the Zelda franchise. As mentioned before, the original map of Hyrule will be reused and built upon for Breath of the Wild 2, making Kakariko village extremely likely to return. While the armor shop will likely have something new for the new title, it's possible that players will be able to obtain the Stealth set again due to its usability.

These sets returning is basically guaranteed because of their relation to Amiibo figures. It could be possible for even more Amiibo armor sets to come out with Breath of the Wild 2 with the armors being possibly based on other Zelda characters other than Link. It could even be possible for there to be armor sets from Amiibo figures from other series. Either way, the Amiibo armors are all very likely to return, definitely satisfying fans.

The Champion's Tunic

While not being part of any armor set, Link's Champion's Tunic is the most iconic part of his wardrobe in Breath of the Wild. While Link is shown wearing it in the cinematic trailer for Breath of the Wild 2, it's unknown if Link will have a different main outfit for the duration of Breath of the Wild 2. If that's the case, players will likely want the option to return to the stylish cyan tunic for their new adventure.

The Possibility of Zelda Wearing Old Outfits

Many players want Zelda to be playable or be a party member along for the quest in Breath of the Wild 2. If that were the case, she would need armor as well and since the majority of the armor sets are gender neutral in nature, there's a strong possibility for her to wear the same armors as Link. In this scenario, players would be able to see Zelda in not only the brand new armor, but the returning armor sets as well. Players would be able to stroll through the desert with both Zelda and Link in Gerudo sets or stalk the night in the Stealth set. This would give a brand new look to these existing pieces that fans would eat right up.

Going back to Amiibo armor sets, while Zelda likely wouldn't be able to wear the armor sets referencing the Links of the past, there are possibilities for Zelda to get her own armor sets depicting her own previous looks. The idea of Zelda traveling around with Link while dressed as Tetra from Wind Waker would be a sight that many players would want to see with their own eyes without mods.

This also means that Zelda's previous outfits from the original Breath of the Wild could also return as armor for Zelda. This would include her white dress, her princess garb, her research attire, and her winter outfit. Having all of these outfits as functional armor sets would surely satisfy many fans for this princess.
