Familiar fans of the Legend of Zelda series know Zant as one of the main antagonists of Twilight Princess. The Usurper King served as the main threat until the last dungeon of the game, but he doesn't make a return in Breath of the Wild. However, with BotW's Expansion Pass, Link can find and wear Zant's Helmet.
Zant's Helmet was one of the many EX Treasures to release from the Champions' Ballad DLC Pack 2 in 2017. Now, Breath of the Wild's Expansion Pass can be bought as a bundle for $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop for Switch. While it's not the strongest accessory in BotW, Zant's Helmet is useful for beginner players thanks to its ability.
Unlocking Zant's Helmet
Like all the other EX Treasures and bonus content, Link will need to leave the Great Plateau before the EX Treasures start spawning around Hyrule. This involves activating the Plateau Tower, getting the four main runes for the Sheikah Slate, and receiving the Paraglider from King Rhoam's spirit.
Link will be directed toward Kakariko Village, just beyond the Dueling Peaks. Fortunately, this is the same direction where players can find Zant's Helmet.
Where to Find Zant's Helmet
Zant's Helmet is located in Tobio's Hollow. Even though Tobio's Hollow Faron Province, it's recommended to activate the Dueling Peaks Tower.
Tobio's Hollow is just south of the Dueling Peaks, so it'll take some climbing before Link can reach it. Alternatively, he can take the longer route and go through Faron to reach it. However, Faron Tower is tricky to climb if Link doesn't have enough Stamina.

Zant's Helmet is buried between two trees on an island in Tobio's Hollow. Be careful not to step into the bog, as Link will drown and lose a heart. Use Cryonisis to make a bridge to the helmet's resting place. Switch to Magnesis to locate the chest and dig it up.
Can You Upgrade Zant's Helmet?
EX Treasures can't be upgraded, and Zant's Helmet is no exception. Try to do so, and the Great Fairy will claim how even some upgrades are beyond her power. Given the base defense of 3, Zant's Helmet isn't going to be protecting Link from hard-hitting foes any time soon.
However, wearing it will allow Link to become Unfreezable. As the name indicates, ice-based attacks from ice monsters (such as White Chuchus and Frost Taluses/Pebblits) will cause damage, but they won't inflict the Freeze status effect.
While Zant's Helmet does prevent freezing via enemies, it won't stop Link from taking damage from the climate . Freezing areas such as Hebra will still hurt Link over time if he's not wearing cold-resistant gear. However, wearing a level 2 resistant gear with Zant's Helmet can protect Link from the cold.
