The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has inspired players and other developers alike with its expansive world full of forests, deserts, monsters, shrines, and abandoned temples, and its influence has even spread far enough that a design based on the game is under official consideration by LEGO. For diehard fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the mere possibility that a set might result is reason for excitement.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players begin their adventure by emerging from a cave and exploring an open region known as the Great Plateau. This area serves as an introduction to the game's mechanics, allowing players to visit a few shrines and fight numerous enemies as they master the abilities they will use throughout their quest's remainder. The most memorable destination within that region is the Temple of Time, which also is one of the most breathtaking locations in Breath of the Wild overall.

LEGO set up a site to solicit fan ideas for future sets, and one fan submitted a design for the Temple of Time as seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The idea behind the LEGO Ideas site is that suggestions with 10,000 supporters by January 2023 will receive official review by LEGO and possibly become an official set if they are approved. The "BOTW TEMPLE OF TIME" suggestion reached that impressive milestone. Although LEGO started banning The Legend of Zelda pitches in November 2022, this particular one appears to have been submitted in time to advance.

The LEGO set features mini figures of Link, Bokoblin, and King Rhoam Bosphoramus. The main temple structure itself features three main colors: dark blueish gray, dark gray, and olive green, which creates the overall look for the ancient walls. It requires around 3,000 pieces in total. That figure surely competes with the number of blocks used for other similar projects, such as a Hyrule Castle fans built out of LEGO.

There's no guarantee a LEGO set will result from this new design, even now that the company is officially considering whether to make something of it. However, it's clear The Legend of Zelda is one of several Nintendo properties that deserve the LEGO treatment, and the Super Mario sets seem to be delighting enough fans that all parties involved may wish to keep the good times rolling with related sets. It's entirely possible an official LEGO announcement could follow soon, and that a Temple of Time built of plastic blocks could become a more common sight.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
