The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for over a week, but there's so much to do in the game that most players are probably still adventuring. However, one particularly dedicated Zelda fan has already managed to collect every single Korok seed in the game, and has revealed the reward for doing so.

For the uninitiated, Korok seeds are collectibles that are scattered through the world of Breath of the Wild. The seeds can be traded in via a character called Hestu, a process that increases the size of the player's inventory.

It takes around 440 Korok seeds to upgrade the inventory to its maximum capacity — but there are over 900 to collect in total. Collecting 'em all is mainly just for bragging rights, although there are a couple of bonuses to reward to most devoted seed hunters.

When players gather all 900 Korok seeds, they're bestowed with Hestu's gift, a device that can trigger the character's dance at any time. The in-game inventory describes the item as "a gift of friendship given to you by Hestu," and notes that "it smells pretty bad."

This description, combined with the appearance of the time, might lead players to fear the worst about where Hestu's "gift" came from. It certainly seems like he might eaten the seeds, and given Link what came afterwards.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
