The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild hiding a chest at the end of a shrine has made some Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players paranoid about hidden chests in its shrines. Both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are filled to the brink with shrines, which task players with completing a variety of different challenges in exchange for rewards.

Completing shrines in Tears of the Kingdom gets players a Light of Blessing. If Tears of the Kingdom players collect enough of these, they can turn them in and upgrade Link's health or his stamina. In turn, this makes it easier for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players to explore Hyrule and survive against some of the game's deadlier foes. Shrines in both games often have extra chests that players can loot if they figure out how to reach them, though a particular extra chest in Breath of the Wild has had some Tears of the Kingdom players feeling paranoid.

Reddit user IdleScimitar recently made a post about how they have to check behind the final platform of every shrine in Tears of the Kingdom because of a shrine in Breath of the Wild that had a chest behind it. Many other Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players seem to be having a similar experience, as the post has generated 2.5 thousand upvotes at the time of this writing.

Some users in the comment section suggested ways to combat this paranoia about hidden chests in Tears of the Kingdom. For example, players can use the Purah Pad's chest sensor to determine if there is another chest nearby. This would mean switching off a different sensor that players may find more useful, however, so for some, it may not be an ideal solution to the problem.

Others pointed out how the shrines on the Tears of the Kingdom map are marked if players have collected all the chests in that particular shrine. Because of this, players can check their Tears of the Kingdom world map to determine which shrines are still hiding chests and this way they don't have to waste time checking behind the final platform in every shrine they come across in the game.

There are a whopping 152 shrines in Tears of the Kingdom, so while this may not seem like a big deal, it definitely adds up. And if Nintendo ever moves forward with Tears of the Kingdom DLC that adds more shrines to the mix, the problem will only get worse. Tears of the Kingdom DLC hasn't actually been announced yet, though, so fans should keep their expectations in check on that front.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
