The Yu-Gi-Oh! card game can be a little tricky to understand at first, but once a player learns all about the different monsters, traps, and spells at their disposal, they'll be ready to jump into some thrilling matches with their very own deck of cards. Considering that this is the very last duel of the ZEXAL series and represents the inevitable final bout between Yuma and his close companion Astral, it makes sense that this duel would be action-packed, but the amount of legendary creatures that appear during the battle makes it extremely intense and stunning to watch.

Some of the most notable parts of the duel include the emergence of the legendary Number 99: Utopic Dragon, who has an incredibly menacing design, and Yuma activating Double or Nothing to bring an end to the duel once and for all. This is an incredibly emotional ending to the series as it is the final time Astral and Yuma ever see one another, but they most definitely went out with a bang.

With that being said, no one could have expected just how chaotic and thought-provoking this battle would end up being, with the action just ramping up more and more with the two constantly exchanging Trap and Spell cards to try and one-up their opponent.

By this point in the story, Zane had become worried that he was reaching the end of his life, so when the evil mastermind known as Yubel arrived to duel him, while in the form of Jesse, Zane figured this would be the best way to go out, since it would also help out Jaden in the process.

The duel that commences is very back and forth, with Yubel seemingly having the upper hand before Zane decides to use Polymerization to fuse together his Cyber Dragons and summon Cyber Twin Dragon onto the battlefield. As the battle goes on, and it becomes clear that Zane will eventually lose due to the effects of his own cards, he begins to reflect on dueling and realizes that he's been ignoring the most important aspect of it for so many years, having fun.

3 Yusei VS Jack Atlus (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's)

Yusei and Jack actually had a few duels throughout the course of 5D's, but the one that fans were most excited about seeing was their fateful encounter during the Fortune Cup. Up to this point, Jack had been made out to be an arrogant and self-obsessed duelist who willingly turned his back on Yusei and his friends to become the strongest duelist alive, something he eventually managed to do after being dubbed "The King" by the residents of Domino City. After making his way through the slums of Satellite and eventually reaching the finals of the Fortune Cup, Yusei finally has his chance to defeat Jack once and for all, but the duel eventually spirals into something else entirely.

After a fiery and chaotic first few rounds, the two duelists begin to bring out their immensely powerful dragon cards, causing the sky to turn black, with them both being transported to another dimension. While Yusei worries about the dangers of continuing the duel, Jack becomes even more determined to win, showing just how ruthless and obsessed he is with being the best. After a brutal few rounds, Jack is eventually defeated, and he begins to reflect on how much damage his pride and ego have caused to the people he used to care for so dearly.

The Battle City arc is packed full of amazing duels, but the one that really stands out, and is arguably the most memorable, is between Seto Kaiba and Yugi. Up to this point, Kaiba had been stalking Yugi ever since he arrived in the city so that he could enact his revenge after the embarrassment he suffered in the very first episode, and now that he finally had his long-awaited duel, he makes sure not to waste the occasion.

Yugi has made plenty of friends during his adventures as a duelist, but these are the characters who were always there for him no matter what.

Kaiba immediately creates a hologram modeled after a Roman Colisseum to make the duel as grand as possible, and it's the perfect setting for the two rivals to finally settle their differences. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters may have started out with some very silly and nonsensical duels, since there was a severe lack of actual rules at the time, but by the end of the series, it had become a well-established card game that was far more strategic and complex. From the very beginning of the show, Atem has been helping Yugi understand the nuances of the game, while also encouraging him to believe in the Heart of the Cards, so when the two finally are forced to face one another, it feels like a student doing all he can to overcome his teacher.

It's an incredibly emotional confrontation because of how divided Yugi is. On the one hand, he needs to prove that he can hold his own without Atem by his side, but he also knows that defeating theEgyptian Pharaoh will send him back to the Spirit World. The duel itself features all the most powerful monsters that have appeared throughout the series, including Obelisk the Tormentor, Dark Magician, and Slifer the Sky Dragon. The two throw everything they've got at one another, but as Yugi hesitantly commands his Silent Magician to perform one final attack, he drops to his knees with tears in his eyes, ending what many consider to be the most memorable duel in the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.
