To unlock most of the costumes in Yoshi's Crafted World, players will just have to enjoy the game normally. Each area in the game features a gumball machine with 10 different capsules in it. These capsules cost between 100 - 200 coins each and they contain costumes.

Players will collect a good amount of coins from completing levels in Yoshi's Crafted World. However, one can also earn lots more by replaying levels. At most, one will need 2,000 coins altogether to get every capsule and costume out of a gumball machine. The machines will also show players what one can get from their capsules, so if there's a costume that's really desired, one can check before putting in coins.

How to Unlock the Yoshi's Crafted World amiibo Costumes

There are also 11 Yoshi's Crafted World costumes that can be unlocked using amiibo. These amiibo costumes are based on characters like Mario, Luigi, as well as the amiibo box.

Unlocking these requires one to scan 11 amiibo (using the NFC area in the controller). We've put together a full list of Yoshi's Crafted World compatible amiibo, how the amiibo costume unlocking process works, and which amiibo is needed to unlock which costume.

Add up the 173 costumes unlocked through normal gameplay and the 11 amiibo costumes, and that leaves players just one Yoshi's Crafted World costume shy of the full 185. The final costume in the game is a "secret" costume that requires a bit of a grind.

Players will unlock the Sundream Stone costume once they have collected all 693 Smiley Flowers throughout the game. Smiley Flowers can be found all over the place, from finding souvenirs, finding Poochy Pups within the time limit, as well as those found in levels. After getting all of these, head to Hidden Hills and give them to the NPC asking for Smiley Flowers and players will be rewarded with the Sundream Stone costume.

Yoshi's Crafted World is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
