Sega fans looking to add more games to their digital libraries are in for a treat, as one of the publisher's biggest franchises, the Yakuza series, is currently undergoing a massive sale. With these discounts, gamers can experience hundreds of hours of quality content throughout RGG Studio's expansive saga for less than the price of a single AAA game. Those interested in these Yakuza deals have to act fast, however, as they are only available for a short period of time.

The Yakuza franchise, which was recently renamed Like a Dragon to correlate with its original Japanese branding, has maintained its relevance in the gaming community for nearly two decades. The action-adventure series made its humble debut with the release of the M-rated PS2 game of the same name in 2005. Since then, RGG Studios has released a total of nine mainline installments in the franchise, along with a bucketload of spin-offs and remakes. Despite the fact that there are tons of games in the series, the developers have kept a consistently high bar of quality throughout. Now, fans can try some of these Yakuza titles out for themselves at insanely low prices.

Games To Play If You Love Yakuza

If you love the world of the Yakuza franchise, you'll love these other games - from GTA to Judgement.

Several games in the Yakuza franchise have recently been heavily discounted on CD Projekt Red's PC storefront, GOG. All the mainline titles in the series, save for 2024's Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, are currently available on sale. Fans can grab DRM-free copies of games like Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life for only $5.99, which is 70% off their standard retail prices. Meanwhile, the first turn-based installment in the Yakuza franchise, 2020's Yakuza: Like a Dragon, is now $11.99. Gamers interested in these deals will have to take advantage of them as soon as possible because this Yakuza franchise sale will end on May 24, 2024.

Players who want to nab Yakuza 0 through 6 can also purchase the "Yakuza Complete Series" bundle for the surprisingly low cost of $33.59. The name of the package is a bit misleading, though, as it obviously doesn't include the two latest mainline entries in the franchise, nor does it contain any of the spin-offs, like the Judgment duology or the forgotten PS3 game Yakuza: Dead Souls.

Players on other platforms who can't make use of these discounts may be pleased to know that all of these RGG Studio titles are also available on Xbox Game Pass. While playing these lengthy games through a subscription service isn't nearly as cheap as buying them outright on GOG, it is important to note that 2023's Like a Dragon: Ishin! and Gaiden titles are also available on Game Pass. Meanwhile, players who prefer to use Valve's storefront might have the chance to take advantage of similar deals in the near future, as the most recent Like a Dragon games were discounted on Steam last month. Nonetheless, many Sega fans will likely not want to miss out on GOG's Yakuza sales.
