Yakuza delivers on action-adventure, beat 'em up, and action role-playing genres, all while delivering a healthy dose of Japanese humor. The franchise has over a dozen titles to its name, including various spin-offs. Though the series has long been a Sony exclusive, some of the games recently released for PC and Xbox One, allowing a new range of players to join the fandom.

Fans are especially excited for the next installment to the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which is due to launch later this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and has already been confirmed as a launch title for the  Xbox Series X. It will refresh the series by adding a new protagonist, though it's sad to see the older characters get retired, though apparently they will still feature as cameos in some form. One such fan-favorite that will be sorely missed is undoubtedly Goro Majima. Majima is well-loved by the Yakuza community, as seen from these rather awesome fan cosplays.

10 “I just appreciate honest people, They ain’t faking it for someone else’s sake.”

When it comes to the Yakuza games, the spotlight is arguably stolen from the protagonist, Kiryu Kazuma, by the supporting character Majima Goro. Majima went on to become such a fan favorite that when Sega remade the first two games, they expanded Majima's role greatly and even added the Majima Saga in Yakuza Kiwami 2, which makes him a playable character.

This cosplay by kisatamura is great, showcasing Majima's go-to outfit of leather pants and snakeskin jacket combo. The details here are phenomenal, such as the tattoo being spot on, the gold chain necklace, and even Majima's tanto knife.

9  Lord of the Night

Fans were delighted with the release of Yakuza 0 as it meant not only getting Majima as a playable character but also getting to see both him and Kiryu in their youth. The game details Majima's change in character, with him beginning the game as a suave, well-dressed man with long hair. Fans also got to see how he lost his eye too, which many had wondered about for years.

This gender-bend cosplay by frostylva encapsulates Majima's character when he is playing the graceful host of Cabaret Grand. This cosplayer has portrayed other versions of Majima too, so be sure to check out the rest of her gallery.

8 Mad Dog of Shimano

Another brilliant gender-bending cosplay of Majima, this time by cosplayer pandagin. This cosplayer has managed to perfect one of Majima's signature stances and has completed her outfit with one of his weapons of choice - a baseball bat.

Majima is known as the "Mad Dog of Shimano" due to his wild and unpredictable nature. However, this is actually all a well-crafted act that Majima has perfected, with him taking inspiration for this persona from three different people he meets in Yakuza 0.

7 One-Eyed Demon

Cosplayer rightful.king.cosplay has found the perfect setting for his Majima, with the bright lights behind him looking like the lights of Kamurocho. This talented cosplayer has other cosplay photos of Majima, as well as other gaming and anime characters, so be sure to check out his other work.

The detail that goes into perfecting Majima's tattoos is superb, with the end result looking very realistic. This cosplayer is certainly dedicated to their craft and it shows in their outstanding cosplay.

6 "Feel free to fight amongst yerselves. But if ya even think of touchin' my territory... I'll guarantee you'll regret it."

Kamurocho looks pretty lit here, both literally and metaphorically. As well as being the main location that the Yakuza games are set in, Kamurocho was also the setting of the spin-off title, Judgment. This cosplay by SigmaNas is great at portraying one of the many facets of Majima's personality, with a more brooding look shown here.

This cosplay also incorporates Majima's beloved baseball bat, as the games show that Majima has a great fondness for baseball and the batting center, with them both reminding him of his oath brother Saejima, as well as Kiryu in the later games also.

5 "Whaddya think, Kiryu-chan?! Ain't I red hot?"

There are times when Majima shakes it up from his usual snakeskin jacket, especially in the later titles, where we get to see him fully suited and booted in sleek suits. This cosplay by enyen_depicts the outfit that Majima wears in Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, as well as part of the spin-off title, Yakuza: Dead Souls.

Additionally, though Majima starts the early games in a plain eye patch, in later titles he adorns it with a silver snake motif, also shown in this cosplay.

4 "Kiryu-Chan!"

One of the fandom's favorite things about Majima is that his quirky personality means he's more than happy to dress up as different personas in order to have some fun with Kiryu or for some other mischievous reason. This cosplay by Z showcases one of Majima's other alter-egos, Goromi the hostess.

In Yakuza Kiwami, the player is able to have Goromi as a host at Club Shine, though Kiryu of course realizes that it is really Majima as soon as he sees her.

3 "We got a motto at Majima Construction... 'If ya wanna work, welcome. If ya wanna rest, get the f*** out.'"

Cosplayer 1000014 has absolutely nailed their version of Majima, it really looks as though he's stepped right out of the game. This cosplayer has done a lot of awesome Majima cosplays, so be sure to check out their gallery. This particular rendition of Majima is from Yakuza 2, or Yakuza Kiwami 2 if you played the remake, where Majima runs his own construction company.

Majima's business enterprise into the construction world allowed players to enjoy a new mini-game called Clan Creator in Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is similar to a reverse tower-defense genre in gameplay style.

2 Hannya-Man

Another one of Majima's many personas is Hannya-Man, who features as part of the Komaki subquest line, as well as a possible opponent in the underground coliseum in Yakuza Kiwami. This cosplay by KDH presents this awesome looking version of Majima, ensuring that Majima's wild personality still shines through.

The actual Hannya mask looks so well-made and absolutely perfect when compared to the one worn by Majima. This particular cosplayer has done many other renditions of Majima cosplay, so be sure to check out the rest of their work.

1 "Right, wrong... Nobody's got a clue what the difference is in this town. So I'm gonna have more fun... and live crazier than any of 'em."

If you think that the perfect Majima Goro cosplay doesn't exist, then you clearly haven't seen everybery_art's take on Sega's charismatic character. This guy has done a lot of Majima cosplays and they all look so accurate, right down to details such as the steel-capped shoes and portraying his "don't give a damn" attitude, which is abundant in this particular photo.

Fair warning though, a lot of this cosplayer's gallery is particularly NSFW so you might want to check your surroundings before you go and have a browse.
