Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is an action-adventure video game that originally debuted on the PS4 in Japan in December 2016. In March 2018, it was released in Engish in Southeast Asia; in April 2018, it dropped worldwide. A couple of years later, in March 2021, the game came out on PC and Xbox One. The game, developed and published by Sega, is the seventh main entry in the Yakuza series.
In the game, the player uses a system where the player levels up and earns points in five differently-colored types of experience: Red (Strength), Blue (Agility), Yellow (Spirit), Green (Technique), and Purple (Charm). These points can be used to improve their base stats or to learn new skills. In particular, Heat Actions are special moves and brutal attacks performed on enemies that result in things such as throwing them to the ground, swinging them into walls, and whacking them with objects. All of them use the Heat Gauge.
10 Boost Heat Actions
If the player plans on using Heat Actions at all then they need to unlock the three Boost Heat Actions skills.
Boost Heat Actions Lv. 1 costs 60 Red, 30 Yellow, and 10 Purple. It increases the damage of attacks that utilize the Heat Gauge. Boost Heat Actions Lv. 2 costs 300 Red, 150 Yellow, and 50 Purple. It makes Heat attacks do even more damage. Boost Heat Actions Max costs 900 Red, 450 Yellow, and 150 Purple. It maximizes the damage of Heat Actions.
9 Boost Heat Orbs
To even perform Heat Actions, the player needs to fill up their Heat Orbs. Therefore, the three Boost Heat Orbs skills are a necessity. They increase the capacity of Heat Orbs.
Boost Heat Orbs Lv. 1 requires their Heat Gauge to be 110 or higher and costs 800 Red, 800 Blue, 800 Yellow, 800 Green, and 800 Purple. It adds a fourth Heat Orb. Boost Heat Orbs Lv. 2 also costs 800 Red, 800 Blue, 800 Yellow, 800 Green, and 800 Purple. It adds a fifth Heat Orb. Boost Heat Orbs Max costs 800 Red, 800 Blue, 800 Yellow, 800 Green, and 800 Purple too. It adds a sixth Heat Orb.
8 Boost Extreme Heat Mode
Using up the Heat Gauge, the player can enter a state called Extreme Heat Mode where their attack power is increased and they take less damage. With the three Boost Extreme Heat Mode skills, the player will keep up Extreme Heat longer, and longer, and longer.
Boost Extreme Heat Mode Lv. 1 requires their Heat Gauge to be 130 or higher and costs 120 Yellow, 60 Green, and 120 Purple. It makes Extreme Heat last longer. Boost Extreme Heat Mode Lv. 2 requires the player's Heat Gauge to be 150 or higher and costs 360 Yellow, 180 Green, and 360 Purple. It makes Extreme Heat last even longer. Boost Extreme Heat Mode Max costs 720 Yellow, 360 Green, and 720 Purple. It maximizes the time Extreme Heat lasts.
7 The Essence Of Reversal Heat Action
If the player has the Parry Battle Skill, which costs 80 Blue, 80 Green, and 80 Purple, as well as the Parry Mastery Battle Skill, which costs 400 Blue, 400 Green, and 400 Purple, they might as well get the Essence of Reversal Heat Action.
It requires the player to have Parry and costs 15 Red, 15 Blue, 15 Yellow, 45 Green, and 60 Purple. After parrying, they press a button and perform the Reversal. It is an upgraded (and cooler) parry, basically, blocking the incoming attack and giving it right back to the foe.
6 The Essence Of Raging Dragon Heat Action
If the player has the Charge Attack Battle Skill, which costs 80 Red, then they should grab the Essence of Raging Dragon Heat Action.
It requires the player to have the Charge Attack and costs 10 Red, 10 Blue, 10 Yellow, 30 Green, and 40 Purple. Charge Attack is a roundhouse kick that deals massive damage, hits multiple opponents, and knocks them over. During Extreme Heat, they press a button after a charge attack and unleash the Raging Dragon.
5 The Essence of Spinning Roundhouse Heat Action
If the player has the Dash Attack Battle Skill, which costs 30 Blue, 60 Green, and 30 Purple, then they should grab the Essence of Spinning Roundhouse Heat Action.
It requires the player to have the Dash Attack and costs 10 Red, 10 Blue, 10 Yellow, 30 Green, and 40 Purple. While running, they execute the Dash Attack. But during Extreme Heat, they press a button after performing a dash attack to let loose the Spinning Roundhouse.
4 The Essence of Fast Footwork Heat Action
There are three Battle Skills regarding quickstep, improving the player's evasiveness and dodging ability during combat. The Double Quickstep Battle Skill requires 110 Evasion or more and costs 320 Blue, 120 Green, and 60 Purple, allowing them to quickstep twice in succession. The Triple Quickstep Battle Skill requires 200 Evasion or more and costs nothing, allowing the player to quickstep thrice in succession. The Quickstep Cancel Battle Skill requires 160 Evasion or more and costs 300 Blue and 520 Green, allowing them to cancel certain actions.
If the player has all three of these Battle Skills, they need to pick up the Essence of Fast Footwork Heat Action too. It costs 10 Red, 10 Blue, 10 Yellow, 30 Green, and 40 Purple. What it does is allow the player to use Fast Footwork during Extreme Heat by pressing a button after doing a quickstep.
3 The Essence of Chopstick Mastery Heat Action
In Eastern Asia, especially Japan, people use a pair of tapered wooden sticks of wood while eating. In Yakuza, however, they are weapons. (They are eating utensils too.)
The Essence of Chopstick Mastery Heat Action allows the player to press a button while holding chopsticks and use them as a weapon to stab an enemy. And it only costs 5 Green and 5 Purple.
2 The Essence of Tiger Crash And Dynamic Throw Heat Actions
The best Heat Actions are the ones usable while in Extreme Heat mode. However, the player will not always be heated up. Therefore, sometimes it is best to hold off Extreme Heat and just use the Heat Gauge to perform Heat Actions on the fly.
The Essence of Tiger Crash and Dynamic Throw Heat Actions are both solid. They each cost 15 Red, 15 Blue, 15 Yellow, 45 Green, and 60 Purple. The former lets the player grab an enemy and launch them into another after pressing a button. And the latter permits them to grab an opponent from behind and toss them into another after pressing a button.

Microwaves are ovens that use electromagnetic waves to cook or heat food. But in Yakuza, they are tools of destruction.
The Essence of Electromagnetic Torture Heat Action allows the player to press a button when a convenience store microwave is nearby and use it as an instrument of hell to shock an opponent to death. Best of all, it costs just 5 Green and 5 Purple.
