Activision Blizzard has run a closed alpha test for Overwatch 2 and is now set to do a PvP beta on April 26, and players that have already had a chance to play the game are giving others tips on map strategies, team compositions, and which heroes to select. Among those giving advice, popular Twitch streamer Felix "xQc" Lengyel has taken the opportunity to inform his audience as to which Overwatch 2 tank hero he thinks is the best.

During a recent Twitch stream, xQc was discussing his time playing the Overwatch 2 alpha now that streamers can share more details about the game that they previously kept quiet on. Overwatch tanks are known for controlling the battlefield and helping their teams move forward, and xQc has an idea of which Overwatch 2 tank is the best at map movement. During a clip that is gaining traction amongst the Twitch community, xQc reveals his favorite Overwatch 2 tank is Doomfist, while he doesn't have much appreciation for the new Roadhog.

Playing Overwatch 2 as Roadhog left streamer xQc feeling like he was playing the free-for-all game mode at melee range as there wasn't much he could do to counter enemies at close range, and he was "getting smoked on." According to xQc, Doomfist is the best tank hero in Overwatch 2 because his damage is higher, which produces more eliminations, he can "create chaos and control the fight," and he can escape from conflict quickly to avoid elimination. Most Overwatch tanks are quite robust and xQc states that Doomfist is able to multitask better than other heroes in the upcoming sequel.

Overwatch fans that are anticipating the Overwatch 2 beta on April 26 may be surprised to see some changes made to the game since xQc initially played it. Some of these fixes include four new maps, a new hero and game mode, 5v5, and reworks to multiple characters including the aforementioned Doomfist. The new Overwatch 2 maps are Circuit Royal, Midtown, Toronto, and Rome, while beta players will now have access to the hero Sojourn. In addition, Bastion, Doomfist, Orisa, and Sombra have all been altered.

Although xQc is a big fan of Doomfist as a tank in Overwatch 2, he admits in the video that the character feels busted, so there may be some changes made to his abilities between now and the official release of the game or through post-launch updates. With more Overwatch 2 beta testers coming on April 26, it's likely that any issues like the ones pointed out by xQc will be spotted and reported by other players. Given the fact that xQc admits he could even 1v5 certain players as Doomfist, the Overwatch 2 tank may already have received some nerfs for the April 26 beta.

Overwatch 2 is currently in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
