Twenty-seven-year-old Felix Lengyel, also known as xQc, is one of the most popular streamers in the world with nearly twelve million followers on Twitch. While initially xQc rose to prominence for his professional Overwatch career, he was released from the Overwatch League in 2018, so he could turn his attention to streaming. Though the Canadian streamer shifted his focus to variety, it was because of the Overwatch community that xQc made acquaintances with both Fran and adeptthebest, better known as Adept.
xQc, Fran, and Adept used to be OverwatchTwitch streamers, though they've all mostly moved on. Recent drama about the three suggests that xQc and Fran's relationship was rocky in part due to Adept. This isn't surprising news for most seeing as Adept and xQc have a very complicated history. They were last together in the fall of 2022 but the legal battles have had people speculating that there is more to the story.
xQc Admitted to Cheating on Fran
xQc and Fran were officially confirmed to be dating in early June 2023, though it was clear that his past relationship with Adept was still affecting him. In a stream during that month he referenced both women by stating, "It’s super annoying. It’s just, I have a new girlfriend, and it’s been like a living nightmare." While fans of xQc weren't quite clued in yet that his girlfriend was Fran, it was clear he wasn't back with Adept.
This proclamation came days after Adept declared she was married to xQc for three years, citing a common-law marriage. At one point in January, Adept even showed up outside xQc's house to accuse him of changing their shared passwords and violating the law. xQc denied they were ever married, but Adept did manage to take him to court in May. While she filed a request for $500,000 and monthly payments from her ex, the court ruled in favor of xQc.On June 3, Fran publicly announced that she and the Canadian streamer were together by posting a photograph of them kissing on her Instagram. As such, the August breakup came as a surprise, since many thought xQc and Fran could be engaged.
Some people thought Adept had to do with the breakup since in July, xQc mentioned that she had come to his home without notice. He voiced during a stream on August 12 that one of the reasons he broke up with Fran was because of his former roommate as he didn't want somebody else to suffer "because of [his] interactions with Poke."Fran went live on August 13 to air out her grievances because people were asking to hear from her. She went so far as to include drawings to explain the timeline of events. Though Adept had previously claimed xQc was physically abusive, Fran made certain to state that she hadn't experienced any of this. "He has never abused me, he has never sexually assaulted me," she said.
However, Fran did claim that xQc had cheated on her, which he admitted after her audience expressed that they didn't believe her. "I will confirm," were xQc's exact words during the Discord call, and it was even insinuated that the cheating happened with Adept. In the past, xQc has taken a strong stance against cheating, so this was astonishing for some. When exactly the cheating occurred has not been confirmed.
It doesn't seem that Twitch streamers will be getting back together, though xQc and Adept have broken up and gotten back together several times in the past. xQc tweeted on August 14 that "the rumors flying around are completely untrue" and that he was taking accountability. He concluded his vent by implying that Adept was motivated by his wealth. Whether Fran and xQc are completely done talking is still to be determined.
