Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been well received so far by critics. The game pushes the Switch to its limits and keeps aspects from past titles while progressing further. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the biggest JRPGs of 2022, as well as one of Nintendo's main releases for their console this year.

One of the main characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is Noah. He is a soldier and an off-seer, an individual who mourns those that have fallen during battle by playing music on a flute. He wields the Veiled Sword and starts off as the Swordfighter class.

A Redditor known as zipflop posted a piece of art that they created of Xenoblade Chronicles 3's Noah. The work is a pixelated version of the character, complete with the Veiled Sword and his red jacket. The art also captures his long hair and blue eyes, and gives the Veiled Sword a nice blue glow. The piece that zipflop made is a cute version of Noah that does a good job of displaying aspects of the protagonist that stand out and help define his look.

The artwork that zipflop posted has gained fans and currently sits at almost 4,000 upvotes. A number of Reddit users have expressed their love for the work and have asked for more. One commenter stated that it would be cool if Xenoblade Chronicles 3 allowed gamers to unlock pixelated versions of each class, while another mentioned that they can imagine a whole game featuring the art style. A fan said that they are currently playing through the first Xenoblade Chronicles and that zipflop's artwork has them excited to reach the third entry.

Zipflop is just one artist out of many making 2D versions of characters from popular 3D games. A Reddit user going by the name KingLeBr0n23 posted an image of Pharah from Overwatch in pixel form that they made. The piece features Pharah hovering in the air with her arm extended as if she is about to unleash an attack. The work captures a lot of the character's physical aspects, including her blue and gold armor complete with the Jump Jet she employs. The image also has a yellow background featuring diagonal white stripes that work perfectly with Pharah. The artwork also features the Overwatch logo, as well as the character's name written in a nicely stylized font next to her. The piece looks amazing and shows how well 3D characters can translate into a 2D aspect.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
