XDefiant is a free-to-play shooter that takes various characters, maps, and weapons from Ubisoft's library of IPs, such as Far Cry and Splinter Cell and throws them into a shared universe. While it is currently free to download on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, there's still a lot of things that players can spend real-world money on, including a battle pass.

By leveling up the battle pass for XDefiant, players can unlock Battle Pass XP and Weapon XP Boosters that multiply the amount of XP earned in matches for a limited amount of time. You can get boosters that last 20 minutes, 40 minutes, and an hour.

How to Use XP Boosters in XDefiant

Level up Fast

If you have a couple of XP Boosters to use in XDefiant, you actually cannot turn them on in the main menu. You must enter a lobby and start matchmaking.

Simply click 'Play' in the menu and choose your game mode or playlist. Once you do that, you will see a big button on the right side of the screen that says 'Activate Booster.' From there, the game will ask you to choose which kind of booster you would like to activate, how many you want to use, and the type.

You can use multiple boosters at once, and the time will stack. So, if you use two 20-minute Weapon XP Boosters, you'll get a combined 40 minutes of bonuses. Make sure to only use boosters if you plan on playing for the allotted time, or else the boosters will go to waste.

How to Get XP Boosters in XDefiant

Battle Pass

The first time that players will probably get their first boosters in XDefiant is right after they play their first-ever match. Ubisoft is giving players five free Weapon XP Boosters to start getting weapon attachments right away. However, there's a chance that this promotion might end eventually, so be sure to take advantage.

Besides that, you can get XP Boosters by leveling up the XDefiant Battle Pass. There are some items on the pass that can still be obtained if you don't purchase them, but to redeem all available items, you will, unfortunately, have to cough up a couple of real-world bucks.
