XDefiant is a first-person shooter game where players use characters from different Ubisoft video games included in Factions. Each faction has multiple abilities to choose from, and the player can try out and stick with the one that suits their playstyle. The addition of unique abilities makes this shooter game more complex because the player has to keep an eye out for disruption caused by the enemy while in combat.
Blitz Shield is one of the Active Abilities that players can use on the Phantoms. Choosing different characters from the Faction will not change the abilities as they are only for cosmetic purposes.

How To Use Blitz Shield In XDefiant
The Blitz Shield is a tactical shield that the player can pull out during the game. To do you must first go to the main menu and start either Unranked or Ranked and get into a match. After selecting your Loadout and any Phantom Character, you can press the left Active Ability button, which should be L1 on PlayStation or LB on Xbox. If you are playing the game on a PC, then you will need to press E on your keyboard. Doing this will equip your tactical shield.
The shield has an uptime of 25 seconds, and canceling the ability by pressing the same button or dying in the animation will cause it to go on a 15-second cooldown before you can pull it out and use it again. While using the Shield, you are able to run at a slower pace, but Sliding or Slide Canceling can not be performed.

How To Get Kills & Challenge Rewards
The Blitz Shield is a great tool with multiple utility options in any game mode. First, it is great for taking control of Occupy Zones by raising your shield to stall for as much time as you can, increasing your overall point tally. As all shots from the front are blocked you can position yourself in a way that can stay alive for a longer period.
While using the shield, your sides are very exposed, so be sure to keep that in mind.
If you do not want to play defensively on the point, then do not worry, as this is not only a shield for defense. It has a bash function that you can perform by pressing the Melee button on your preferred console. This will allow you to press your shield on the enemy, taking out their entire health bar in two attacks. This can guarantee easy kills as they cannot retaliate by shooting back at you either. After you get 25 Kills with the Blitz Shield, you will unlock Rhino, who is also a member of the Phantoms.
