The Xbox Series X/S has been out for quite some time, and the console has already seen its fair share of amazing RPGs that are a joy to play through. Players who love this genre will find no shortage of RPGs on the console, and the number of acquisitions that Microsoft has already made means that the console is going to enjoy a bunch of amazing RPG releases further down the line as well.

Most people assume that the modern generation of consoles simply hasn't been out for long enough to really warrant the purchase of a Xbox Series X/S. However, that couldn't be further from the truth, and the latest generation of consoles has a bunch of games, including RPGs that can be finished in less than ten hours! The following games are perfect for this category and will let players immerse themselves in a deep game without having to make a long-term commitment.

8 The Ascent

The Ascent is a great game where players can engage in some fun co-op gameplay. The game itself isn't that long, which is perhaps for the best if players just want to go through a quick game with their friends.

The Ascent does suffer from adopting a style-over-substance approach, with the game revealing most of its cards pretty early on. However, due to its relatively short runtime, this isn't really a major issue further down the line.

7 Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is a game that players can definitely power through and finish in less than ten hours. However, this might not be the best use of one's time, especially given how poor the quality of this game really is.

Combat is lackluster and feels dated, with the levels of this game being pretty simplistic as well. Aside from playing with friends, there's no real draw to playing Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance. It's a shame since the game could be so much more... yet didn't even come close to meeting expectations.

6 Haven

The Game Bakers was mostly known for their amazing work on Furi, a fast-paced boss-rush action game where a single misstep could mean death. So, many people were surprised when they decided to develop a laid-back turn-based RPG that focused on the life of a couple for their second game.

Haven is a surprisingly great and unique experience, with a great plot that fans of romantic stories would love. It's a game unlike anything ever seen before, and uncovering the mysteries at the heart of this game is a blast.

5 Maneater

Shark in Maneater

Maneater is a unique RPG where players take on the role of a man-eating shark who terrorizes both humans and aquatic life with their murderous rage. The fact that this game actually contains a plot that makes a lick of sense is a massive achievement in its own right.

Maneater is a pretty fun game at times, although the game does become rather tiresome to play after a point. However, since the game isn't really all that long, players can definitely rush through it in a few hours.

4 Nobody Saves The World

Nobody Saves the World is a game that players can blast through in less than ten hours... but they really shouldn't. The sheer gameplay diversity in this game means that players will have to mix and match their loadouts, which can lead to the gameplay being pretty interesting indeed.

Nobody Saves the World doesn't make a great first impression, but players who stick with this game will soon realize why it's such an underrated gem. It's one of the best RPGs that players can pick up for the Xbox Series X and Series S.

3 Warhammer: Chaosbane

Warhammer Chaosbane

The Warhammer series has been graced with its fair share of video games, all of which have been a mixed bag in their own way. Warhammer: Chaosbane is another title that seems like just another run-of-the-mill video game, but actually has some great ideas of its own.

The fact that Warhammer: Chaosbane can be completed in just a few hours makes it even more enjoyable to play through! Players should just temper their expectations and not expect the world from this game, and they'll be pretty content by the time the credits roll.

2 Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood

For a game from the World of Darkness series — which features great titles like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines — it was clear that expectations were high for Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood. However, the game turned out to be nothing more than an absolute mess.

The gameplay was janky at best and unplayable at worst, with the story being pretty nonsensical as well. The only perk of this game is that it doesn't overstay its welcome and ends just when things are getting extremely frustrating to deal with.

1 Yes, Your Grace

Character speaking to the King about monsters

The unique premise of the RPG Yes, Your Grace sees players engage in a management game where they need to take care of a small kingdom with finite resources. Along with this, the story takes a look at a ruler without a legitimate heir who must deal with numerous threats while managing said kingdom too.

All these gameplay elements combine to form a pretty great title indeed. Yes, Your Grace can be completed in less than ten hours, but players wouldn't have minded if it went on for longer.
