An exciting roadmap shows all of the announced Xbox Game Studios games that fans can look forward to this year and in the years ahead. Although the brand has found itself in some hot water with hardcore fans due to its new multi-platform strategy, Xbox recently hosted a huge showcase that left many optimistic about the future of Xbox Game Studios.

The recent Xbox Games Showcase gave fans long-awaited updates on Xbox Game Studios titles that were announced years ago and have yet to be released, as well as announcements for brand-new projects. It left many Xbox enthusiasts buzzing about future games for their platform of choice, and now it's all been laid out in an impressive roadmap.

Xbox reveals wildly impressive playercounts for several of its major first-party games, including some of its ongoing live service titles. 

Xbox insider Klobrille updated their roadmap of Xbox Game Studios projects, adding Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to the timeline for 2024 as well as South of Midnight, Fable, and Doom: The Dark Ages for 2025. They also added Gears of War: E-Day and refreshed the logos for Perfect Dark and State of Decay 3. The new roadmap paints a bright future for the Xbox brand, and while some projects are without release windows at the time of this writing, there are still many games dropping as early as this year.

Project: MARA is a new game in development at Ninja Theory, while Project Maverick is a project in the works from Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly.

While there's always a chance they could get delayed to next year, at the time of this writing, Xbox Game Studios has Age of Mythology: Retold coming on September 4, Ara: History Untold dropping September 24, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releasing on October 25, and finally, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 releasing on November 19. Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Towerborne are all expected to release this year as well, but they are all currently without solid release dates. Besides Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, all of these games will be Xbox console exclusives come their respective release dates.

2025 isn't quite as busy as 2024, but there are already three exciting games for fans to look forward to so far. Multi-platform release Doom: The Dark Ages is planned for 2025, alongside console exclusive games Fable and South of Midnight, the latter of which proved to be one of the more impressive games shown at the Xbox Games Showcase. Rumors suggested that Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day could also be released in 2025, but those claims have since been pushed back on by official sources and insiders. Regardless, it's clear that the next few years are going to be incredibly exciting for the Xbox brand.
