Microsoft and Razer team up again for a special limited edition Captain America-themed controller coming soon with a quick charging stand. These controller and accessory collaborations are typical as developers team up with others to create unique designs and publications for players.This collaboration isn't the first time Xbox and electronics powerhouse Razer have come together for a limited edition project. Razer announced the limited edition Captain AmericaThe Falcon and the Winter Soldier Xbox controller and quick charging stand, a bold and colorful controller for Marvel fans to add to their collections.The Captain America Xbox Controller and stand appear to be a standard Xbox controller but with a quick charging stand accessory. However, what makes this pairing unique is the boldness of the red and blue design inspired by the new Captain America revealed during Marvel's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier show on Disney+. The controller is designed to work on the Xbox Series X/S and all Xbox One models. It can also work with PC, Windows 10, or Mac having a fast and stable connection for player satisfaction.
This limited edition controller is made to allow the user to feel and be immersed in the action with triggers made to vibrate during the game. The triggers are pressure-sensitive for a more refined level of precision. This model also has textured grips on its triggers, bumpers, and back case just like the latest Xbox controllers, along with a special magnetic contact system to confirm the charge will not be interrupted. Razer adds a special touch to its limited editions to give players a product beyond its looks, such as the bumpy coatings based on the "bristly" texture of the hedgehogs on the latest Sonic the Hedgehog controllers, appropriately named Sonic Blue and Knuckles Red.
As most know, limited edition controllers tend to be a little more pricey than regular controllers. The Captain America Xbox controller is available on Razer's website and other authorized retailers for $179.99. Players can secure this controller at that premium, similar to other limited editions, such as The Star Wars Boba Fett Xbox controller and stand. Interested parties can sign-up to receive notifications on when the Captain America controller will be available for purchase.
On Twitter, players show great interest in this bold design, while others are sad that these limited editions are not elite controllers.
