Xbox has confirmed that it will be in attendance at Gamescom 2024 on August 21, even providing a partial list of games that it plans to show during the live event. After a summer showcase that many fans regard as the company's best in years, it appears that Xbox still has more to highlight from its slate of upcoming games.

While the company's June livestream revealed huge tentpole titles like Fable, Perfect Dark, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Gears of War: E-Day, a recent report claimed that the Xbox Games Showcase could've been even bigger. The gaming giant allegedly held back on including a handful of games in the stream, including some that are confirmed for a 2024 release, such as Towerborne and Ara: History Untold. Fans wondered if Xbox could be saving them for upcoming gaming events, and it looks like that may have been the case.

Nintendo Has Bad News for Fans

Confirming what may be bad news for many Nintendo fans, the console giant reveals its plan to skip a popular gaming showcase coming in a few months.

Shortly after PlayStation confirmed its absence from Gamescom 2024, Xbox announced on its official Twitter account that it would be present at the German gaming event from August 21 to August 25, while also claiming to have its "biggest booth ever" on the show floor. In a follow-up tweet, Xbox revealed a partial list of games that fans can expect to see at Gamescom, which includes the aforementioned 2024 titles Ara: History Untold and Towerborne, among others like Avowed, Age of Mythology: Retold, Fallout 76, and more.

It's worth noting that the list of confirmed games will seemingly be expanded further in the coming weeks, which may hint at a monumental showing for Xbox at Gamescom. Fans will likely also see concrete release dates for Towerborne, Ara: History Untold, and Avowed. Curiously, the latter was present at the June showcase and reaffirmed a 2024 launch, but without an exact date. A possible November 12 release date for Avowed recently leaked on developer Obsidian's website, but was removed shortly after. The Xbox games confirmed for Gamescom so far are as follows:
