With June fast approaching, Xbox has officially revealed which four free games will be headlining its Games with Gold promotion this month. As per usual, there will be two Xbox One titles and two Xbox 360 games available via backward compatibility, with the lineup comprised of The King's Bird, Shadows: Awakening, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum, and the original Injustice.

The King's Bird and NeoGeo Battle Coliseum will be available to claim starting June 1, with the latter remaining part of Games with Gold until June 15 and the former staying on until June 30. The remaining two titles will be available for free on June 16, with Injustice departing on June 30 and Shadows: Awakening sticking around until July 15.

For those unacquainted with the lineup, Injustice: Gods Among Us is probably the biggest pick of the bunch. NetherRealm's fighting game utilizing DC's roster of superheroes and villains kickstarted a popular new franchise when it launched back in 2013, imagining a world where the death of Lois Lane drove Superman to become a ruthless tyrant. Players get to control an array of popular DC names, including the likes of Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, Cyborg, and Green Lantern.

Meanwhile, The King's Bird is a precision-focused platforming game, allowing the player to navigate a colorful world using physics-based gliding mechanics. The game received plenty of acclaim for its striking art style as well as its fluid gameplay, which is based across an array of different, visually distinct levels.

Shadows: Awakening, on the other hand, is an isometric RPG that focuses on tactical combat, seeing players take control of a demon summoned from another realm. Players can form a party of characters and fight through challenging combat encounters, with their decisions affecting whether they save the world or doom it to extinction.

Finally, NeoGeo Battle Coliseum is a classic 2 v 2 fighting game that initially released all the way back in 2005. The game allows players to pit characters from ADK and SNK's franchises against each other, including Fatal Fury's Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui, Samurai Shodown's Haohmaru and Nakoruru, and The King of Fighters' Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami. The game was hailed as an over-the-top fighting extravaganza filled with hard-hitting combos and fun tag-team action.

PlayStation Plus also revealed its new games for June earlier today, with the service offering Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, Star Wars: Squadrons, and Operation: Tango. The trio of titles will be available starting June 1.
