Vice President of Xbox Games Marketing, Aaron Greenberg, has advised that viewers tuning into this week’s Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield deep dive should bring "an extra pair of underwear." This tweet has only raised expectations for what will be shown during this showcase, alongside titles already confirmed to be there. Xbox could really do with a win following the unfortunate events it has had to deal with recently.Between the CMA blocking the acquisition of Activision Blizzard from going ahead in the UK, and the utterly disastrous launch of Redfall, things have not been looking great for Microsoft’s gaming division over the past few months. The somewhat disappointing lineup that PlayStation offered during its most recent PlayStation Showcase has led some to ponder if now may be the opportune time for Xbox to win back some of the market mindshare. The tweet that Greenberg was replying to was left under a countdown stating that the Xbox Games Showcase will take place in seven days’ time and also mentioned how great the previous looks at Starfield have been.

This follows the other details previously revealed by Greenberg via Twitter, pertaining to the upcoming Showcase. Compiled by @HazzadorGamin, Greenberg responded to various questions, giving an idea as to how the showcase will be formatted. One of Greenberg's most notable answers was that no first-party games featured in the event will rely on a fully-CGI trailer.

Instead, the trailers will utilize in-game or in-engine footage, with some cinematic elements included. Each trailer will also be clearly labeled to ensure transparency for fans. Furthermore, Greenberg confirmed that there will be no trailers for TV shows or movies in this year's showcase. He also clarified that the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 won't include a repeat of last year's "games in the next 12 months" gimmick.

Scheduled for June 11, 2023, the Xbox Games Showcase promises to deliver exciting news about highly anticipated titles, such as Bethesda's Starfield. Additionally, new games will be announced, expanding the ever-growing library of Xbox Game Pass.
