Xbox Game Pass has brought back Quantum Break after it was taken down last month. Fans were confused about the change, due to the fact Quantum Break was published by Microsoft Studios, which makes it a first-party Xbox game. Previously, gamers have been told Xbox will never remove its own games from Xbox Game Pass.Xbox Game Pass was originally launched in 2017. In 2018, Microsoft announced that first-party titles would arrive at the service on their release day and the first game to receive this treatment was Sea of Thieves. Other games that received the same treatment since then were Forza Horizon 4, Crackdown 3, and State of Decay 2 among others. Since then the platform further grew, adding extra services and games such as the basic EA Play service or Riot's free-to-play games like League of Legends. With all the added content, Xbox Game Pass has now become a successful product within Microsoft with an ever-rising income, as its quarterly subscription revenue now nears $1 billion. Therefore, Xbox is dedicated to keeping its users happy and avoiding disruptions, such as the one that occurred a month ago.RELATED: Alan Wake 2 is on Track for This Year, Says Remedy EntertainmentAfter a player complained about Quantum Break being taken off Xbox Game Pass, Aaron Greenberg, Vice President of Xbox Games Marketing, provided an explanation. He said the game is being temporarily removed due to "some licenses that expired that were in the process of being renewed." He also promised to let everyone know once Quantum Break is back on the service. After almost a month, today Aaron Greenberg announced on Twitter that Quantum Break has been returned on both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass and thanked everyone for their patience. Most commenters thanked Greenberg for the update and said they will continue playing the game.

There were also those who went a bit further away from the topic, asking about whether there ever will be a Quantum Break 2. Considering Remedy Entertainment's CEO said in 2018 that a sequel is pending approval by Microsoft, there likely won't be a further elaboration on that for a while.

Regardless, Xbox Game Pass users are likely happy to know Quantum Break is back among the offered games, especially if they were in the middle of playing it. As for an anticipated sequel, there is no word on that front.

Quantum Break is available on PC and Xbox One.
