There are nine new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass over the course of the first half of November and today the first two games have gone live on the service. Minecraft and Unpacking are now available to be downloaded for all subscribers.

Those who exclusively game on console might be confused with Minecraft's addition as it's already been on the console version service for years, but Minecraft's inclusion on the list is noting its addition to Game Pass for PC. Subscribers are now able to play either the original Java Edition of the game or play with crossplay and plenty of other updated features with the Bedrock Edition. According to the trailer posted to Xbox's official YouTube channel, the choice was made to bring both versions to Xbox Game Pass so that players would have the most amount of agency when choosing how to play the game.

Unpacking is a brand new indie game that has players unpack boxes after a move and place their contents all over the different rooms in apartments and houses. It's described as a zen game for players who are trying to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of seeing all of their stuff as it gets individually unwrapped and hand-placed in whichever room it belongs in. It's reminiscent of games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons where the focus is on aesthetic pleasure and deriving joy out of the smaller things in life. It launched today as an Xbox Game Pass Day One release for console, cloud, and PC.

Oddly enough, Minecraft and Unpacking share a zen-like quality that makes them both excellent titles for players to relax to. Obviously, Minecraft can get a little stressful if fighting monsters, but when playing on Creative Mode, the two share a lot of qualities. A lot of fans play Minecraft specifically for the limitless design elements that it offers and Unpacking also gives players seemingly limitless options for how they'd like to design their homes' interiors. Additionally, the low-fi music that both games have help lull players into that zen mode of arranging things based on if they feel right.

There's plenty more coming to Game Pass later this month with It Takes Two and Kill It With Fire going live on the service later this week on November 4. Between Minecraft and It Takes Two, November has shaped up to be an excellent month for anyone looking to play high-quality co-op games.
