Microsoft continues to feature major titles as part of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service and it's officially added one of 2021's best games. With major releases joining the Game Pass lineup in the next few weeks, subscribers shouldn't ignore the addition of It Takes Two.

Two new titles have been added to the Xbox Game Pass library today, giving subscribers who are disappointed about the service's coming departures. Microsoft is always cycling through Game Pass titles beyond its own first-party games and although Planet Coaster is being removed from the library soon, the 2021 hit co-op title It Takes Two has already been added. Alongside It Takes Two as a new addition today is publisher tinyBuild's exterminator simulator Kill It With Fire.

Some of the titles that are leaving the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library soon include Final Fantasy 8 HD, Planet Coaster, and Streets of Rogue. Forza Horizon 5 releases on Game Pass tomorrow, though plenty more titles will be added to the service in the next month. Some of the upcoming titles that have been confirmed include Football Manager 2022, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas The Definitive Edition, and One Step from Eden.

On top of upcoming additions to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate such as Forza Horizon 5 and GTA: San Andreas, subscribers on PC will be able to download Total War: Warhammer 3 on February 17. Warhammer 3 will join several other Total War titles on Xbox Game Pass for PC, while the series remains excluded from Xbox Game Pass for consoles. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play these titles on their mobile devices through Xbox's cloud gaming service.

It Takes Two sold over one million copies within a month of its release, but Xbox Game Pass Ultimate boasts an even larger audience of over 18 million subscribers. Because EA Play joined Xbox Game Pass Ultimate back in March, it's no big surprise to see Hazelight Studios' It Takes Two added as EA was its publisher for the title. The developer's previous title, the award-winning A Way Out, has been available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate since the EA Play library was introduced.

With Forza Horizon 5 releasing on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tomorrow, subscribers may overlook titles such as It Takes Two despite how popular it has been since it was released back in March. It Takes Two succeeds as a cooperative experience as well as a popular Twitch title. In Contrast, Kill It With Fire may become one of the indy titles that reach a large audience through its addition to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup similar to Dodgeball Academia or Rain on Your Parade.

It Takes Two is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
