The latest update to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service has added three more games to the mix, all of which are available to subscribers right now. Two of the games are also available to those on console Game Pass and PC Game Pass, but those that want to access all three games will need to make sure that they are signed up for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier of the service.
This is because Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gives subscribers access to EA Play. EA Play, for the uninitiated, is EA's take on a subscription service. In exchange for a fee, users get access to many of EA's game along with various other bonuses. EA Play was previously available as a standalone product on Xbox, but it was eventually merged with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as one of its main perks. And thanks to that merger, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are free to play the Dead Space remake.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Reveals New Game for April 2024
A new Day One game is confirmed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to launch in April 2024, giving gamers a new title to look forward to next year.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now play the critically-acclaimed Dead Space remake across the cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. In the meantime, those who are signed up for vanilla Game Pass and PC Game Pass can play Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery and day one game Mineko's Night Market as well. Those on PC Game Pass have already had access to Frog Detective, but this is the first time that the collection has been available to Game Pass subscribers on console.

Out of these games, the clear headliner is the Dead Space remake. One of the biggest game releases of the year, the Dead Space remake from EA's Motive Studio was praised for successfully modernizing the sci-fi survival-horror classic. The Dead Space remake is one of the highest profile EA games to have released this past year, and so it's a big get for EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
That doesn't mean subscribers should overlook the other new games available to them today. Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery has earned a great deal of praise, while Mineko's Night Market may appeal to those that enjoy business simulation games.
There's even more new Xbox Game Pass games for fans to look forward to before October 2023 is over. In fact, October 31 will see the addition of two day one games to Xbox Game Pass, with both Jusant and Headbangers: Rhythm Royale joining the lineup. Fans should expect the Xbox Game Pass November 2023 announcement to happen around the same time that Jusant and Headbangers are added to the library, so next week should be especially exciting.
